@HoraceGreenley if it took 4 shots, he either had horrible aim or was firing light loads. 440 grain 45-70's will take down grizzly's all day

@wildbill83 They were reloads. The bear was at a dead sprint running right at him.
He just kept firing and the bear slid to a stop at his feet.
