Why can Pharaoh's wizards perform the same miracles that Moses can? [Spirituality & Religion]

Carazaa · F
Because God allows Satan to deceive some who don't want truth but want their own God. Satan can do supernatural things, as far as God allows him.
Satan is an angel who was thrown out of heaven because he wants his own glory and he is roaming earth to deceive man away from God to worship himself. He is an angel of light looking good and Gods counterfeit, imitating God, deceiving the entire world to worship a lie. God will throw Satan in the lake of fire soon, as well as hold all people accountable for their actions towards God and man.

@Pikachu I don't hold God to the same standard as myself because I am not God. I don't know how to make people, the universe, stop a storm, or end the world, God does. I can't even save myself because I am totally dependent on God everyday. It would be very silly of me to tell God that he is not doing things the way I want them done. It is like a 2 year old telling my Mom she is mean because she wont give me what I want. That would be quite selfish, in my humble opinion. When we are mature adults we realize there are many reasons bad things happen that have good results in the end. The Bible has warning after warning but many wont heed the warnings. But this question was about the wizards so we got off the topic a little. God does not always explain why he does things and he doesn't have to. You ask very good questions but are not receptive to my answers. So sometimes I wonder why ask?
@Carazaa

Exactly. You don't even hold god to the MINIMUM moral standard of humanity. Presumably because he cannot even pass that bar and that admission would be problematic for your worldview.

Like i said, you're not being logical but deploying a logical fallacy because it allows you not to answer the tough questions.

I agree that we've gone off topic. But if i recall, your answer was that satan gave them the power and god allows this for reasons...
I like asking questions but that doesn't mean i should accept non-answers like that. I don't mean that to sound insulting, i just mean that your answer was essentially "because", right?
That’s the party line...”because god”@Pikachu
I'm reminded of that exercise we did in boot camp so many years ago where the first of 80 recruits whispered a story read from a 3x5 card to the recruit next to him. That recruit then turned and whispered the "same" story to the guy next to him and so forth down the line until the story reached the last of the 80 recruits. That recruit then told the story out loud. And the DI then asked the first guy to read the card again out loud. You can guess what happened...

Kind of makes you wonder how many people were told the story before the time of writing......
@Threepio

lol you did that in boot camp? I did that in nursery school. It's called broken telephone.

But yeah, i think that's very much what happened. That's how legends go.
@Pikachu the lesson is the same no matter the age......

@Threepio We cant change Gods Words at all. There has not been a single change in the Bible. You have been listening to uninformed men who are deceived by Satan to pull people away from God.

Well they couldn't really, at least not all of them.
@GJOFJ3

Not all, but some. Some pretty cool stuff too.

Pretty sure most of my wizards are frauds, unfortunately. That’s why I got into the business of cats... they have much more powerful natural and supernatural abilities. @SW-User

@SW-User Interesting 😆
I'm pretty sure he was raised by the priest class and knew their tricks. After all he could read and write which only the priest caste could do at the time. He also later takes the 40 negative confessions from the book of the dead and narrows them down to the ten commandments. So he seems to have been well versed in their ways.

@Stereoguy

Why should we assume they were faking it when the bible says they were able to do the same thing? It doesn't say they made it seem like they were doing it or ricked people in some way. It says they could do it too.
