-Mark Twain
Caprice · 41-45, F
Agreed. I used to think the opposite of faith was doubt, but I’ve since learned that the opposite of faith is knowledge.

@Caprice There's some trusting in both avenues. I'd liken the difference to explicit versus implicit.

Yes. Even “knowledge” can be mistaken, depending on how correct the facts are found to be. Perhaps the true opposite of faith is certainty. @ImKelsey

Mark Twain was a brilliant writer and Americas first modern wit. He's the fellow that defended German Opera by saying "Its not as bad as it sounds"

He authored many a good Chinese cookie.
Mark Twain was a senile old fart.
@Harriet03 Ramblings of a tired half crazed old goat. I would not call them quotes.
ImKelsey · 26-30, F
@Harriet03 I just blocked him. He's the Cornholio guy into political agitation and white supremacy.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@ImKelsey Argumentative!

Faith is definitely more heart driven
He's off the Mark

@BeefySenpie I don't think so. The faithful struggle to shut out the words of sounder minds. He was referring to this, and had experienced that struggle firsthand.
