In the UK, organ donors cannot choose to leave their organs exclusively to fellow Christians.... [Spirituality & Religion]

Would this not deter you from donating? For example, what if an Atheist received part of your body? Not only would it prolong the life of someone who's sullen and anti social (at the expense of a Christian life), it may result in them getting into Heaven when they've done nothing to deserve it.
I am an organ donor. don't care who gets them. i'll be dead. hope whoever gets them makes good use of em.

Uh, if you're concerned about who you're going to save with your organs, you probably shouldn't be donating them. There are worse people you can be donating to. Like child molesters, wife beaters, murderers, animal abusers.

@SW-User do you think those "worse people" believe in God?
SW-User
@Jm31xxx A lot of them do, yeah. What's worse is that they use god to justify their actions. But honestly, if you're going to donate, I think it should be without concern to the person your organs are going to. They're going to be going to a lot of people.

Nothing, except the health of the organ, should matter. Fining donors is hard enough without extra stipulation

If a Christian seriously wouldn't donate organs that could save someone's life just because it's possible that an atheist might get them, then they're the one who deserves to suffer in hell. (Not that that place exist)

Not at all. Surely the Christian thing to do would be to give the gift of life to whoever needs it.
Thought experiment.

Bob is a Christian and "saved" and such will go to heaven.

Steve is an atheist and thus not "saved" and thus going to hell.

Or so that is the fundamentalist position.

Both have kidney failure. You are a match. Who do you give the kidney to?

Obviously Steve who is damned. As the kidney would extend his life and give him a chance for redemption. Bob dies young but goes to heaven.

If you are being Christian then you believe in helping everyone.

Donate unto others as you would have donated unto you?

Seems to me that the idea of a non-Christian having a longer life would be a good thing. After all, it would give them more time on Earth and therefore a better chance at salvation.
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@Jm31xxx Are you seriously saying that you want everyone who's not a christian to just die right now?
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@DunDunDun I'm saying it would make things simpler and better for all good folk
DunDunDun · 22-25, F
@Jm31xxx oof...you actually think that everyone who doesn't follow your religion should die? okay then
Seriously, we have an example in Christ in how to behave and he had time for all kinds of people.

Doesn't bother me at all. If another human being can use my parts after I'm gone so much the better. I have no way of knowing what a current Christian may do with my parts either.

You sure have a different idea of what Christianity is about than I, if you think a particular body part will get one into heaven or not. I don't remember Christ asking what faith people were before healing them.
Not at all. It’s weird to think that is even s thing.

What a vile concept; keep your putrid organs then is what I would say. Let them rot in hell with you.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Wow you're a terrible Christian.
