@Carazaa OK, so you're saying that God causes children and other people to suffer because we offended him.

Your God sounds like a psychopathic demon. If such a God existed, I would resist him with all of my power.

Are you also saying that faith in Jesus protects people from diseases or natural disasters? Because my own observations tell me that isn't true.

@LeopoldBloom Sin has global consequences, and Yes God hears our prayers if we are born again. And he will also care for our kids especially if we pray!

@Carazaa You're saying that because people aren't Christian, they get hit with a tsunami? That's demented. And I know plenty of people who pray all the time, and their kids still had horrible illnesses or accidents.

Going by my own observations, I'd say you're wrong.

@GodSpeed63 Thank you so much for asking! I had a heck of a week. My tree fell on the house yesterday, the sprinkler broke, the light on my car went out, and I didn't see some checks in my account to cover expenses. I was a bit concerned but lo and behold. I prayed with my Son and then My x husband came and him and my son fixed the car, and a sprinkler guy came and said he'd do it for free because his expertise is not sprinklers (I still paid him), and a check automatic deposits happened yesterday and also today it just appeared in the bank from some jobs I did, and the neighbor had a guy working on a fence and said he could saw my tree down and take it to the dump, it was done in one hour. Wow I feel so good that it was all taken care of! God is amazing. I did give to a few missions and churches a few days ago when I started to be concerned about my bills. God came through just as I needed Him yesterday and today. More than I expected really! My prayer is for me to really do a good spring cleaning, and organize my stuff, and put things away or give them away.

@WanderingThrough Carazaa wasn’t inferring that God [b]doesn’t[/b] hear one’s single prayer. She was just reminding people (BY those verses you quoted, and WITH special note to that one verse within that text that she quoted), that God said where two or more are gathered in His name, God is there in their midst and shall hear and answer their prayers. That is true! There’s nothing wrong with that. She wasn’t twisting scripture. Jesus was giving us an example of how that works, from the passages He wrote about it. It wasn’t necessary for her to quote the whole text, as it all has the same message and meaning, regardless if you read the whole text or not.
