We have an illusion of it. Some people have a larger chunk of that illusion because of their place in society and social ladders. But we're all controlled by something. And that takes away free will.

@SW-User Which proves I am right! Muwahahahaha!

@Quizzical No. But I have no problem stroking your mighty ego. 😂 Don't even take your mind anywhere else.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
@SW-User But my free will allows me to take my mind EXACTLY where you don't want me to, lol :p
i believe in free wifi

Sometimes, because the term free will is changeable and it means something different to everybody. And someone could even say that we're not free enough to decide on what real free will is. Okay I'll stop now because I lost myself too.

I think that whatever your answer will be, it won't change anything. You'll drink your coffee the same way as before.

Yes absolutely.. I always get told this when I go for a reading and they say this is what will happen but you have free will and can what you want
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
Yes we do.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@GodSpeed63 Seems pointless to have both!! But again its all pointless.
I'm off to work. ✌
@Harriet03 I was just thinking of this this morning. How can our will contradict the plan. That makes God un-all-powerful. That gives us decision making abilities on paranoid with God. It makes us at least as powerful as him in that respect.
People just want free will cause they want someone to blame instead of seeing them as a victim themselves of a plan.

Why's that?
No. We are always bound by choice
Because we can’t be fully free without infringing on someone else’s rights. That why I say “within reason”. @BigbangFACTS
Yes within reason.
Quizzical · 46-50, M
Yes, we do

Give me a definition of free will.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@basilfawlty89 I make choices. Today I decided to eat chic fil instead of Wawa because I wanted to do a drive through (Because it's raining and I didn't want to get out of my car).
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@DDonde I know, but some would claim all of it's predecided, by our DNA, or brain, etc.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@basilfawlty89 I would argue that, even if it's predecided by circumstance, it doesn't change the fact that I made a decision. I exist within circumstance, not outside of it. I am not influenced by circumstance, I am a part of it.
