Do you think religion is redundant these days? [Spirituality & Religion]

Deadcutie · 18-21, F
No, in fact true religion is almost nonexistent.. the 99% that are fake in their religion is what gives religion a bad name

All societies have religion. We are made to worship. In this post-Christian world people worship self. This is the "me" generation, which leaves people depressed and lonely. There is so much disrespect and hatred in the world right now, no love of God.

I feel so sad for God! I just want to hug Him and say please come back soon! But He wants us to witness a little longer so people can hear about His wondrous love, how he died for the world and coming back soon! So people have a chance to repent and put their trust in Jesus.

consumerism is the new religion

Always. Organized religion isn't really about God or believing in him. It is about ego and manipulating the bible to have their way.
St0ut · 51-55, M
@Magenta not all religion or spirituality is sourced from the Bible
Magenta · F
@St0ut Imagination?

Oh and not believing in organized religion doesn't make one a non believer. :-)

I don’t believe myself. However I do not agree that religion redundant because there is no other institution to replace it with.

It's always been redundant.

No. In my opinion, religion exists as a way to explain or theorize about some of life's hardships and mysteries. That, for me, cannot be replaced by science, money, or politics.

@uncalled4Good luck with that!
