Why does God find it appropriate to cause mass extinctions for his own mistakes? [Spirituality & Religion]

AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
He hates admitting he’s wrong (when it comes to his “plan”).

@AnonymousJSS
Everyone.
That's right, everyone.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2
That’s simply incoherent.
Call it what you will but it's still the truth. BTW, the voice comes my from my heart, not my heart of flesh either.

God does not make mistakes. Human beings do.
Hanging2 · 51-55, M

You got that, brother.
You’re assuming God, who is perfect and cannot err, makes mistakes. He does not. Also, we shouldn’t be quick to judge, when we do not know some of the spiritual reasons why things happen in this world. God is smarter and wiser than we’ll ever be. God is not the problem. Sinful man is. God is not willing that any perish. To prove that, He gave sinful man 100 years to repent of his sins in Noah’s day. One would have thought man would surely have caught on, about sin and rebellion against God by then, but he never seems to learn from his mistakes.

@LadyGrace Actually I have. Also he doesn’t. And yes I am smarter than your God
Good luck with that. @Zenyatta
@LadyGrace 😜😁👍

Man* Man think it appropriate to cause mass extinctions by the consequences of his own actions. The land and the seas should be given back to native people who learned to live as one and care for the planet. The rest of us human anomalies should be eliminated by the numbers.

What bout the great flood?
What did all those billions of animals do to deserve death?
Carazaa · F
God made a mistake? OK, so you think God made a mistake creating humans? Well lets see now what are the choices he has. God's standards is to LOVE.

1. He made us with a will of our own. He could have made us robots and not giving us a choice how to act. He shouldn't have wanted us to love him by our own accord he should have made us love Him.

2. Would it have been so much more "appropriate" for Him to keep letting us be haters, thief's, judgmental, and greedy, because we don't want anyone telling us what's wrong with u?, God forbid. Is He mean for stopping that? We should just continue to destroy our world. We are doing it to ourselves very nicely. We will eventually self destruct. He could just let us all die!

3. Or he could help us out a little. Well he is, a lot ! He picked us out of the gutter, except some haven't realized that they are in the gutter yet. Sin is a terrible thing. It requires punishment. No one can pay the debt. So God paid it for us. He became a man! As a man he took the punishment. NOT as GOD but as a man. It hurt, and it was shameful because he did nothing wrong. No human would have done that for another who hated him. People hated him! He did it because He loved us. He wanted us to go to heaven. There is NO sin in heaven. He became a man for us! So now we can be free of the shame of sin. The debt is paid in FULL! Anyone can have it by repenting their sins and believe in Christ, so no one need to go to Hell!

If there is a god, he created a virus. It continues to spread and destroy everything in its path, the human race.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@DHggmu
If there is a god, he created a virus. It continues to spread and destroy everything in its path, the human race.
Yahweh didn't create us as a virus, He created us in His image and likeness for His good pleasure. No, He's not a virus either.
@GodSpeed63

But he knew we would fail so....🤔

Anyway, one wonders what all those billions of animals that died during the flood did to deserve death or why god saw fit to slaughter all of them for the shortcomings of man.

WHY DO PEOPLE EXCUSE THEMSELVES??????
Montanaman · M
@Platoscave because it's the easiest way.😔
Platoscave · F
@Montanaman Not easy for me to watch it happening.
Montanaman · M
@Platoscave I know.😔
popmol · 22-25, M

JohnOinger · 41-45, M
He Doesn't Make Mistakes
Platoscave · F
@JohnOinger so your God loves killing bad people huh??
HapaxLegomenon · 46-50, M
This is about Andy Warhol and the people in the Factory scene of the 1960s, but may as well apply to God in this case...

@HapaxLegomenon This song has always tickled me
Platoscave · F
@HapaxLegomenon GREAT song!!

It wasn't ME that hurt you!
Allelse · 36-40, M
Then blame us for it? Because he's bloody useless.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse Please don't say things like that. I want God to bless you!
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa He doesn't exist so you don't need to worry about it.
Hanging2 · 51-55, M
I think man is lending a helping hand
Platoscave · F
@Hanging2 Maybe that made-up God is helping.
Hanging2 · 51-55, M
@Platoscave I think you are on to something there
Platoscave · F
@Hanging2 I got on it way back.

The key is language...so hard not to drown in it.

You know?? The way we substitute language for reality, and create these absurd concepts, ie: them versus us, this versus that, then versus later versus now...

until we are cut off from reality itself.

=(

I'm not sure it's His fault. If God does exist, I don't think He's watching.
Just shaking up the etch-a-sketch
Montanaman · M
@MrBlueGuy exactly!😜
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
What mistakes would those be?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Well since He created and sustains I suppose it is up to Him to decide if it gets destroyed or not. Does the pot say to the potter?
Are you expecting humans to understand the conceptual processes of a God?
If you’ll read, you’ll see my comment was directly at PLATOSCAVE. It is right there in that little box. NOTHING was directed at you. Nothing! Sometimes I wonder the same thing. Sometimes I write a comment that is supposed to go right under the other persons writing, but instead it goes way down to another line and that causes a lot of problems. I don’t think I even addressed to you until you addressed me. In no way was my comment or any of my words directed at you. Oh, it was appropriately labeled arrogance, alright, but I did not write that about you. Any time someone thinks of themselves as higher than God, now that’s real arrogance. And SUPER insulting to God. Btw, there’s nothing to forgive.

@OogieBoogie
@LadyGrace well, lets move on.
Look, I'm a fire cracker. I know what I believe.
And, it seems, you too know what you believe.

I personally think we are both on the same page, we both believe in
God, divine consciousness..
We just express it in different ways, you with etiquette, me with coarseness.

And really...if we hadnt suckered in to this post in the first place, (🤪)
We'd probably be sitting in the park,watching this magnificent world revolve around us.

I'm sorry I told you in a round about way to.... Yeah, well, what I said.

And it's not an excuse... But I love my existence, even though it's hard, it hurts, and it's a challenge every bloody day.
But... I'm thankful for many other things...
And from where it came.... Amd I'll defend that.

But I'm sorry for insulting you.
💜
That’s ok. No problem. Likewise. I’m sincerely sorry it came to this or if I said anything to hurt you. Life is hard, yes. A challenge? Absolutely! Like you, I’m thankful for what I have. You seem like a nice person. We all know some days are harder for us than others. I think we were both just having a bad one yesterday. 😊 I’m sorry fro being snappy. 💜🤗🌷 @OogieBoogie
