If a woman kisses her husband in some places in middle east she could be beaten. Why is it o.k. for the men to kiss each other on the cheek in public?

Different cultures have different cultural norms. Kissing a woman is seen as disrespectfully being to aggressive and demonstrative; kissing a man on the check has long been a formal greeting in many societies and denotes friendliness and a non-aggressive stance.
