Even if you are the worst sinner in the world... [Spirituality & Religion]

Quoted from the best seller "Amazing Secrets of the Bhagavad Gita."

Lord Krishna said:

“Even if you are the worst sinner in the world, you can cross over the ocean of sin with a bark of wisdom (Jnana).”

(Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4:36 )

So when we attain Jnana (true knowledge) sin is automatically vanish and we will automatically attain self-realization.

Lord Krishna said:

“As the blazing fire burns wood to ashes, Arjuna, so does the fire of true knowledge (Jnana) which will burn all “karmic debt” to ashes.”

( Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4:37 )

Lord Krishna tells us that we will derive no karmic debt if we act selflessly (Nishkama Karma) or do all our actions surrendering to God.

Lord Krishna said:

“ One who does selfless actions, one who performs his duty without attachment, surrendering his actions to God, is not stained or infected by evil, as the lotus leaf is untouched by water.”

( Bhagavad Gita Chapter 5:10 )

“Even if you are the worst sinner in the world, you can cross over the ocean of sin with a bark of wisdom (Jnana).”

I liked this quote a lot. It's good they don't go full blown crazy with the concept of sin as other religions. I don't really support the idea of sin because I think human nature just sets it up so we make mistakes with the idea being we either learn from them or fall.. but this is still a great quote of true compassion and empathy.

Even though I highly disagree with the concept of sin.

That's all very nice but I think that most people naturally know that selfless acts are a good thing. It's not really a secret.

Can I ask you something for interest's sake ? When you think "Krishna" what do you see in your mind's eye ?

@Wraithorn I am a Hindu but I am not familiar with Krishna.I am not even familiar with Bhagavat Gita.I find good quotes from gita on Facebook and I share it , if I feel those quotes can help people.
I know Bhagavat Gita was written thousands of years before Christianity or Islam .

The reason I am not familiar with Krishna is because , Hinduism is vast and Hindus have more than million gods and thousands of sects.
It is impossible for any person to remember the names of every Hindu gods .Not to mention the different characters and unique rituals required to worship different gods/goddeses.
In addition to deities, Hindus worships thousands of departed Gurus and Yogis as well.

@TrueSelf Fair enough, I'm not here to argue with you right now. However...what you just said is sort of like someone quoting from the bible but not being familiar with it while claiming to be a Christian.

On the other hand...I have used Namaste many times even though I'm not Hindu because I like the meaning of it. So now maybe I should chastise myself for being an asshole.

@Wraithorn You are not an a*hole. It's o.k to quote or share certain quotes from certain books/culture that we feel is true even though we are not familiar with the whole book/culture.

You can be forgiven by God through Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit.
