IF god wants to save us, why has he allowed the truth of his word to be so uncertain? [Spirituality & Religion]

Why not make himself known to us so that we might choose to follow him or deny him?
Not guess whether he exists or not but KNOW and make our decision from there.
When Christ was here the first time He performed all kinds of healings and miracles and people still mocked and rejected Him.
@Pikachu I respect God and He can do anything He wants. He's holy, I'm not and I'm glad I'm enabled to know I'm accountable for the wretch that I am.

Good for you.

Lol I love the believers telling you to seek. I don't know what it's called but there's something in psychology where a person thinks that coincidences are actually God 😂

Something about how the human brain seeks out patterns that aren't there.
@SatanBurger

Could be pareidolia. Could be confirmation bias.

Either way, it does get a bit silly when you're told that it's your fault for not doing it right and THAT'S why god hasn't revealed himself lol

He already did make himself known to us. Some did choose to follow him. Most didn’t. He got tired of proving himself to us only to be denied by us again and again and again. Why wouldn’t he stop. You request a miracle now? Why should he show you now after sending his son? They didn’t believe him. Very few will follow him and now only through faith will they believe. Those who believe also believe through blessings. He has provided a path for us to believe and be born again. No miraculous proof will be shown again until Christ returns. Then everyone will believe.
@gregloa

Sorry, you think that showing himself to a some bronze age herdsman before the age of mass communication was the BEST god could do to convince as many people as possible that he existed?

lol weak, dude. A transparent excuse.

Are you saying that even if god wanted to, he could not make his existence known UNEQUIVOCALLY to the world?

Hmm. Maybe not such an impressive god after all, yeah?😏
@gregloa Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
Are you fimilar with this quote by Epicurus?

Seek and you shall find.
Heads up, I'm not going to argue the point. I understand where you are coming from I was once that way. I had to seek it.
@curiosi

Meh. That's a cop out. Many seek. Some find, some don't.
I sought. I found nothing.
So where does that get us?

Who ever said he want to save us? The whole end of days thing doesn’t fit that concept, nor the thousands of children that die every year through no fault of their own. If he showed up in person, “God’s will” would change real quick to “You let my child die, where was your saving then?” If he has watched all the innocent lives lost, rapes, murders etc over the ages and done nothing, he sounds like a sadist at the very least. Who needs him.

Lots of people. Talk to some christians. Why did he send his only begotten son to die of he did not want to save us?

But i agree. I don't think that god (if he existed) is especially concerned with our well-being

I never knew that Pokemon thought this way...
@Fangirlsarah1996

we have deep inner lives

@Pikachu I choose you then.

You ask very intriguing questions :o

I guess I would need to know what you mean by allow .-.
Why is God's word uncertain in particular and how can God stop that?
@SW-User

It may be that there is not a good answer. Until someone gives me one, i am justified in believing that there isn't one😉
SW-User
@Pikachu maybe, but who knows? :v
There COULD be a good answer out in the unknown
@SW-User

yup

That is a great question. And isn't it convenient for the theists that all the miracles and events that would be evidence for a deity happened in long-ago eras and that this deity has now gone strangely silent?
