I cannot comment as I don't know them. I can only say that the church I attend is racially and economically mixed and also reaches out to help the poor.
One of your problems, however, appears to be confusing segregation with choice . Segregation as we know is wrong. The late Billy Graham was threatened for holding nonsegregated crusades but of course segregation is completely opposed to the Christian message .
. The difference is not spiritual but cultural . This is another point where you're getting confused - confusing segregation with cultural differences and preferences . @CookieLuvsBunny

@Speedyman I agree with you everyone should have a choice where they live, attend church, etc. It is when the choices become institutionalized that it becomes segregation
Speedyman · 70-79, M
Absolutely. When Christianity becomes institutionalised it loses its essence and ceases to be Christianity. I know lots of questions to go to very different churches yet we all believe that we are one in Jesus Christ . Our preferences may be different but our one-ness remains@CookieLuvsBunny

Idk how this is so hard for people to believe. when you die it’s like the time before you were born.
Nothingness
An I don’t find it depressing either.

Define god?
PurpleHearts · 22-25, F
Why would any of us want to? It's not like anyone is gaining anything out of it. You got to live it yourself.
PurpleHearts · 22-25, F
@Emosaur So you're just trying to bait those people and be confrontational about it?

There is a direct connection between every atomic particle in the Cosmos. That is God.

If I believed a god(s) were real I would be doing nothing but trying to make it/them happy so it/they wouldn't kill me or torture me forever after I die. I'd definitely be concerned about what happens to other people after they died too and make every effort to save them.
MerryMilkshake · 22-25, M
@Doomflower are you sure?
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@MerryMilkshake yeah. At least not forever.

@Emosaur good luck
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@Bagalamaga the burden of proof is on the positive claim. Even if I say, "God doesn't exist" it's not up to me to prove the negative. My claim is easily falsified. If a god existed this would have been done eons ago.
Plus it depends on what you mean by "god" in the first place.

I can’t change your mind until we come up with a definition of god.
