Connection with nature [Spirituality & Religion]

I think as children we were much closer to the devine,god, spirituality, nature or what every other word you would like to use. Which then gets lost a bit over time. Remember how alive and fresh things were when viewed through the young eyes. This is what came to my mind when I read the below. How do we come back to that lost connection ?

Nietzsche, writes about it in Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

@John2019 It's really old and very deep. I had trouble keeping up. I found this synopsis to be very helpful.

@curiosi I have never read any of his stuff, who was he ?

@John2019 He was a philosophizer born in the 1800's. Publishers refused to publish his books so he did it himself. He is now one that many of us turn to in trouble times for inspiration.

Everybody talks about the "innocence of childhood" and how it is lost...It is not lost, it is taught and trained and drilled out of them. Adults are the very same people with the very same bodies they were when infants. Children don't lose their innocence, it is taken from them by the same adults, society, and culture that proclaims to nurture them. They should be taught how to successfully and properly deal with their natural ways and instincts, not to suppress them and eliminate them...I think Our world would be a much better place if we did that.

We look for god in all the wrong places as we grow up.
How profound and true. You are very astute. @kodiac

@LadyGrace Thank you.

@LadyGrace It amazes me the lengths people will go to to feel like they are close to god. Get up on Sunday get all dressed up ,drive to church in the car they can't afford ,donate money to the church ,ask forgiveness for things they did last week .When all they need to do is step outside and look around .Something we did every day as a child.
