And, if God created humans as his children, why would He need to 'Save' them, if he created Everything? (including sin, hate, selfishness , etc. ) :/
@Coralmist I always wondered why he came up with such a bad plan to do so. Doesn't seem omnipotent to me.

@canusernamebemyusername Right. Is that loving, to WANT your own children/creation to be 'bad' and sin, and then say 'I HOPE you accept me Father'/beg for kindness? :(
@Coralmist Sounds more like a power trip.

One of my favorite lines from Jesus Christ Superstar is Judas's song at the end I believe,
If you'd come today
You could have reached the whole nation
Israel in 4 BC had no mass communication
Why would cultures share a fundamental religion say if "god" revealed itself to them separately?
Most cultures are theistic. Do you think this hints to a great possibility of their being a god?
Whats the evolutionary benefit of creating a god?
I'm not sure that there is. I think deity worship is an emergent property of the answer seeking, problem solving brain which IS adaptive.
People like to organize things and label things and KNOW things because it helps us to make sense of our world and feel comfortable moving through it.
Schemas are a very useful tool, evolutionary speaking

Hdryder555 · 61-69, M
@Riverman hope he don't "reveal himself" downtown he'll get arrested!

You are not really looking. You just want to argue with someone. Have a nice day.

the flood is universal though
Pherick · 41-45, M
@revenant The universal piece of the flood story is that just when large flood incidents have happened in the distant past, people there assumed the "world" was flooding when in reality, it was just their small piece of the world.
