It's definitely not. It's only disbelief in God's existence.
An atheistic religion is surely possible, though. It would necessarily be optimistic and favor nature/chance as the explanation for eternal life. Buddhism doesn't qualify for this, but the exact opposite of it would.

@GodSpeed63 We disagree on the dating of the earth and a global flood. You knew that already, though.

You DO get that bushranger is doing exactly what you do on a regular basis, yes?
Remember how you like to repeat that you've already answered something or that you don't have to?
The incredulity that you're feeling right now at that response is exactly what we experience when you trot out excuse after excuse.
Tell me, are you convinced of his position when he refuses to bring up an example?
lol nah, son. Me neither.
Congratulations, in addition to being intellectually dishonest you've added hypocrite to your list of achievements .
Hope you remember this next time you're challenged to
P.S. Except that unlike yourself, he's actually answered the question in the end😉

@Pikachu Sometimes payback can be fun lol.
Perhaps not but most of you wear it religiously, so it is subject to ridicule. Atheists have broken the dictionary! By definition, Atheism is not a religion, but atheists have made it a religion. Some are even 'evangelicals'. Some atheists are hilarious because they spend so much time grinding a huge ax over something they claim doesn't exist. For some, it's an obsession. You, for example. You're kind of obsessiveness about it. How does one become obsessed and angry with something that isn't real?
@newjaninev2 You have faith. Lots of faith!

@puck61 and you, it would seem, have no answers. Lots of them.
@newjaninev2 Do you have answers? I'll answer any question you ask me.

A belief in nothing is still a belief
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
There is no such cult known as atheism. As long as people are alive, they're going to believe in some type of dummy god and put their faith in that dummy god.

@Pikachu
what bluff are you calling? Is that just a thing you say to save face?
No, I'm saying it because it's the truth. You've seen the evidence I gave and now you're trying to save face by rejecting it and pretending I didn't send any.

....so my bluff is asking, challenging, demanding that you repost the evidence which you think disproves my position?
lol what a strange little maze your mind is...

That's about it. As for my mind, I'll take my God's word on that subject.

Atheism: The belief that we've got a long way to go before we begin to understand the infinite complexities of the universe...
Religion: "The big magic sky-man made it all, now give me some money."

No, it has no metaphysical belief system or deity ideation.

Not so much a religion, more a phase some people go through. Sadly, some never seem to grow out of it
no I do not think its a religion. by definition it is not. a belief in superhuman powers controlling humanity. its basically a belief in god.
Politics would be closer to a religion. It has a hierarchy. A leader. Faith that the leader will keep his or her promises. The belief that they can magically do stuff they are not actually allowed to do. The adoration and blind faith or the constituents. Etc...

@canusernamebemyusername Trumpism..??? XD

I'd consider myself a "religious" person, and for me a "religion" is an inner discipline aimed at getting at the unknowable and mysterious underbelly of life-- the meaning of life, what's the point of it all, etc.-- and aiding us in developing positive inner qualities in the meantime.
In that sense, most religion isn't even religion by my book.
As for atheism-- sure. Could happen.

Of course it isn't. It's the absence of a religion as indicated by the word itself.
Nope. Religion has Gods or something supernatural.
herekittykitty · 31-35, M
No, it is the rejection of all religions.
