I didn't avoid your question. I gave you the reason why of being good. Let me put it this way: no one is good but God alone. He makes us good through Jesus Christ by His Holy Spirit. By receiving Christ into our hearts, we become good.

What flimsy old book and what cultists are you referring to? I'm not religious and neither are other believers like me. We have a relationship with our Father in Heaven (The one true God, Jehovah) and His Word is man's history. Naturalism and logic never works to disprove Him. He's the Creator of both.

As much as you want it to be so, like your disbelief in the one true God, there are no such people that are atheists or a cult known as atheism. Didn't your made up sky daddy tell you this? As long as you live, you'll believe in some type of god or idol and put your faith and trust in that idol. In your case, your made up sky daddy.
