@GeorgeTBH People can always believe as they will, but the truth is now provable. They should listen and learn.

Religions fail us every time. I follow no one but Christ, because my faith stems from Him...not man. Christian just means follower of Christ, not some religion, which is as He meant it to be.

The determining factor of one's authentic faith relationship with God is not one's denomination, religious practice or performance in Christian disciplines, but rather the presence of the indwelling Spirit of Christ, upon confession of faith. As it is written, “if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

That its a culmination of smaller superstitions which were created in an attempt by our ancestors to make sense of a vastly complicated and unpredictable universe. I mean life is scary even in our day and age, but imagine being poor cave man Joe and you're going along and cave man Jimmy suddenly drops dead. I mean in our day and age old caveman Jimmy would get an autopsy and we'd work out what is wrong, but how is caveman Joe supposed to know or understand that his friend just had an aneurysm. But being a slightly intelligent fellow whose good at problem solving he tries to come up with the best answer he can, and the fact that that answer might be 'Evil spirits!!!' well he was only doing the best he could to make sense of what happened.

It's ok as long as the person isn't judgemental. As long as they aren't too obsessed with it and don't believe themselves as better than the rest.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@SW-User And as long as they dont start a lynch mob and begin killing the non-believers.
SW-User
@Allelse 🤷 they usually want to be respected but they get offended easily.
Allelse · 36-40, M

Religion is for people that are afraid to go to Hell.
Spirituality is for those that have been there and looking for a way out.
Karmalives · 51-55, M
@Karmalives very spiritually put

Due to past issues that religion has brought upon me and others, I can say it is unnecessary. However; Faith and belief in God himself is wonderful though.
Amen! Religion is just vain philosophy. Empty and void of God. Religion never died on the cross for us. Jesus...a person...did. @SW-User

No problem with it unless it is used to control others,as, unfortunately, sometimes it is.
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I think it’s fine. Just walk the talk though and don’t cram it down my throat.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
To each his own as long as it is voluntary participation.

Peeka is right. Every aspect of the supernatural needs to be scrapped and nature should be said to outperform it in the reliable provision of worthwhile eternal life. A new religion based on this would be great.
Quicksilver87 · 26-30, M
Religion is another cult to brainwash people.

I don't care if they want to continue their believe but I refuse my life being dictate in the name of religion to justify their action.
SW-User
People use it a substitution for an identity or a source of hope, they follow it blindly, and it has done more bad than good, but without an alternative, they need it.
AG7777 · 41-45, M
It's fine, and inevitable. If you rid yourself of it, it will be replaced with a caricature of it that'll be worse.

@Dan193 thanks you Cpt spelling
Dan193 · 31-35, M
I no longer participate. But as long as someone isn’t using it to restrict someone else’s rights, oppress anyone—or proselytizing to me, I can be respectful. My parents are still pious and do none of those things.
KingofPizza2 · 36-40, M
Comes off too much like a scam for me to really take it seriously.
Reject · 26-30, M
I like the loving communities I've known in it.
Addictedtoglamour · 31-35, M
It's boring and holds people back
waste of time and mind space
SW-User
Is that still around?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
I just live it
While I think it can be inspirational in terms of providing valuable life lessons for the individual, the politicization of religion makes it an evil used to oppress, divide and exploit.
DDonde · 31-35, M
It's not for me.
