The Case For Christ [Spirituality & Religion]

Is there a case for a divine Christ?

@GodSpeed63 Whether you believe I successfully refuted your "evidence" is irrelevant, it's clear to anyone not blinded by christianity that I did. You can pretend your silly made up "god" is real all you like, it won't make it so. You have not produced a single scrap of real evidence to support your claims. You can't because, as you and I both know, you don't have any, you're just "whistling in the wind". You're so deep in your delusions you can't even get my name right. That ought to tell you something.

You appear to be attempting the dethrone The Flying Spaghetti Monster with your fake "god jehovah". It isn't going to happen unless you can produce substantial evidence to support your claims and we both know you can't.

I'm not attempting to dethrone your silly "god", there's no point because it doesn't exist. Even you know that but you just can't bring yourself to admit the truth, you continue living a lie.

@suzie1960 Suzie Q, I love you and I'll be praying for you. You have a great day and the rest of the week. You believe whatever you want but I'll always know better. Take Care.

@GodSpeed63 You might think you know better but I know that I do. :)

Just the usual propaganda, I've seen it all before. A complete waste of 46 minutes of my life. Every single time I've look at what a christian has claimed is evidence of their god, all I've ever found is more BS propaganda. This time was no different. He's been taken in by christian propaganda and now he's spreading misinformation to try to deceive others.

Maybe one day a christian will presents real, unambiguous, independently verifiable evidence of the judeo-christian god. Until then there is no reason to believe it exists.

@suzie1960 Do you not live in the US? It’s generally accepted that four commercial airliners were hijacked by Middle Eastern jihadists on September 11, 2001 and that two of them crashed into the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York, one crashed into the Pentagon, and the last one just crashed in rural Pennsylvania. That’s the official conspiracy theory that the vast majority of Americans accept as truth without question.

However, you can’t find any photos of plane debris lying around the Pentagon in the aftermath of the supposed plane crash. A website called Judicial Watch once posted a video of the supposed crash, I don’t know if the video is available there or anywhere else anymore. It goes too quickly to be able to see much, but if you pause it the frame before the explosion you can see on the side of the screen what looks to me like the nose of a missile. It’s long and thin anyway, clearly not the nose of a plane. Furthermore, photos of the planes that crashed into the Twin Towers show that those planes had no windows, which means they were not commercial airliners.

@GodSpeed63 As there's no evidence that your made up god exists and heaps of evidence to refute any claims that it does, the truth is that it is highly unlikely to exist.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
@JP1119 No, I don't live in the US. Whatever gave you the idea that I do? As I said, I have no opinion on the event of September 11th 2001 either way.
No joke. I'm kinda pissed off.
I have been asking you and asking you for extra-biblical evidence of a divine christ and you kept telling me to watch your youtube video.

This guy uses 95% BIBLICAL evidence. And what's not biblical is conjecture (well the disciples couldn't remove the body because they had no means motive or opportunity. Oh yeah? And you know that how?)
Look at all these documents we have! Matthew, Mark, Luke, John. Oh...so the bible still.

If the story of jesus dates back to near the time it was meant to happen then it must be true. As if this exact this does not happen to this day.
His followers gathered around his creed because of facts they knew to be true...
So then just asserting that the myth is true and they knew it.

I've done my part. I trust you'll show me the same courtesy in response to the transitional forms.
I also hope you'll finally see fit to share all this extra-biblical evidence for a divine christ

@Pikachu Videos. I watched all three of them and all three made sense to me. Whether they make sense to you or not is a different story. If you're only out to prove evolution, then you're leaving the Truth in the bleachers and you're batting with a blind fold on. I'm telling you this because that's what your colleagues in science do whenever they do those tests that you keep harping about. They're not looking for truth, they're looking to prove evolution.
@GodSpeed63

No. Actually they're looking for truth. The way they do that is by following the evidence of the natural world.
You need to STOP this disrespectful trivialization and vilification of the beliefs and motivations of people who don't accept your idea of god.
Science accepts evolution because that is where the evidence points.
The fact that they do not reach the conclusions that you want them to reach does not mean that they're not looking for the truth.

I don't know if this disrespect stems from contempt or from ignorance by i will not tolerate it.

Anyway, if you think you're up to debating the evidence for evolution then simply say the word. Let's see which conclusion may be logically and consistently drawn from the evidence.
You say that truth is important to you. So let's put that declared value to the test.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Pikachu No, the evidence points to God every time. He's the one who created science and put it in motion. All evolution does is let known the progress that scientists discover after each testing but within its own boundaries set by God. Evolutionists don't understand this and take the meaning of evolution further than it's supposed to go in order to accommodate their disbelief in God. I'm not saying this out of disrespect to anyone, I'm saying this because it's the truth. It's not my truth I'm sharing but God's truth. It's His truth that has me and not the way around. It's His heart that has me as His son so that my heart has Him as my Father. I'm not here to get you to believe what I believe but to believe in God's truth and let you deal with it as you wish.

Never swayed me in the least. Proud atheist here.

@JP1119 If that was the case, where would man get the word god from to describe a higher power? Why would man want a higher power in the first place since it's his desire to solve the issues himself?
@JP1119

That still leaves us far short of any meaningful interpretation of said valued thing which would make it a god and therefore validate godspeeds'63's facile assertion.
@GodSpeed63
Why would man want a higher power in the first place since it's his desire to solve the issues himself?
Because men want answers and when they don't have answers the make them up. Simple as that.
Furthermore, men are afraid of that which they do not understand and by invoking a god they gain some sense of control or understanding over their world.
If you don't understand this impulse simply look at a child as they look to their parents to make sense of a world that is confusing and scary for them.

God is not some amazing fundamental force that all cultures seek.
He's daddy and he's going to explain everything, punish, reward and protect.
It's a very basic human concept.
