This is why I'm very careful about discussing religion with Muslims :/ [Spirituality & Religion]

I love the irony that, right after stating that thieves should have their hands chopped off, and adulteresses should be stoned to death, the interviewer's next statement: "If we implement Islam in everything, no (bad) things will happen."

...maiming and killing non-violent people who make mistakes isn't a bad thing...?!?
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@GwydionFrost Another good point.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Typical Muslim cannot accept free speech, unless you agree with this Religion they will attack you
@nedkelly

Typical?
Please explain for the class how you determined this to be behaviour which is typical of the nearly 2 billion muslims in the world.
Go on.

if Mohamed is so sacred why do they give the name to their children when they can turn into thieves murderers, rapists and fraudsters, shouldn't the name be protected
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
@Alice60 That is a very good point indeed.

@NankerPhelge shit I forgot to put my Hijab on

All abramic religions are the same.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@SW-User This is the most sensible one ever from an Arabic country

@SW-User unfortunately that's only true in theory. As much as some Christians are intolerant. I've never had one threaten to kill me because I disagreed with them, but on my occasion a Muslim who sounded nice at first, told me who would find me and stone me to death, when faced with disagreement.
SW-User
perceiving every one of them the same way just because of few? understanding them through what some of them done in past? stating/cherry picking random facts from history to prove your point?
Trevo · 26-30, M
@SW-User plus, that woman lives in Egypt Herself. There's a reason why she hid her face. I will always advocate for tolerance and this is why I don't support Abrahamic religions. And currently Islam is the worst among them
SW-User
@Trevo I don't mind/care if you don't support them. Just don't brand a whole religion. If you really care there might be some fucked up shit happening in the back of our backyard but you chose Egypt
Trevo · 26-30, M
@SW-User The religion is bad, that's what I think. I'm on my backyard rn and it's all fine. Now excuse me while I focus on whatever I choose to.
NankerPhelge · 61-69, M
I don't discuss anything with Muslims because I don't know any of them well enough to speak to them at all. I see a few of them up and down the place but I don't know them personally, so I don't say anything to them at all, I just leave them be.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
I'm sure an atheist or an LGBT kid would have the same experience in a Christian household.

@Trevo [c=#003BB2]Both Mohammed and Jesus never existed[/c] and there's plenty of historical reasons for thinking so, that to me are valid criticisms. I have no problems criticizing the fake made up martyrs of both your family's and the woman in the video. What I have an issue with is your post doesn't offer any actual criticism of the religion. It's not logically sound because of its use of bias.

I can find the same YouTube videos of Christians and suggest the same thing. To me criticism of any religion must equal sound arguments.

There is also an atheist on here whose part of the alt right and uses Christian fundamentalist science as a reason to be anti gay and is also very anti Muslim.

I think there's something to be said about false flags.
Trevo · 26-30, M
@SatanBurger I cannot see what isn't logical about what I stated on my post.

The example I provided and my personal experiences while discussing religion with Muslims are there to back it up. If you re-read it, you'll see that it didn't target the religion itself, it was about me not liking to discuss it with Muslims because they usually lose their patience pretty quickly. It doesn't mean o don't actually have a negative opinion on Islam. I do, of course. But I didn't provide proof or arguments on that because the post wasn't that deep.

There are many reasons why I don't support this ideology one of them being what you stated yourself: Muhammed never existed. His teachings are pretty much invalid. I won't go in depth because I know we agree on that one, so that's enough.

We all have ideas about things that we find to be true or wrong. We are all biased about something. But it doesn't mean our bias aren't backed up by facts.
