Does any moral code justify taking babies away from their mothers? [Spirituality & Religion]

No. It's a human rights abuse. These women are being deported, not imprisoned, and should be deported with their children.

No.
The exception would be if the child is in danger.

@Greenbare I see. They belong in detention centers as opposed to with the other parent, family.

Yea. I'm sounding liberal AF wanting to keep kids with families. I'm a prick that way.

Unless the child is being trafficked or abused by the parents they should NOT be taken from the parents. There is no law on the books to justify what is happening to these families...the orange maniac made up a law
Protection of the child comes to mind. Otherwise I can’t think of one.

Idk. The US is doing it anyway to people trying to enter the country illegally
SW-User
I think financial stability or poor parenting
Fernie · F
@SW-User you mean if they are poor the kids should be taken from them?
SW-User
Absolutely not ! Unless the child is being abused in some way ..
Why does the US make it so hard for Mexicans and not other countries? The news would lead us to believe the US lost them. They are getting meals and they are in a safe place. This sneaking into this country is just not the right way to come here.

Doesn't seem very moral

When the parents use their kid to try to weasel their way into a country illegaly?.. yes...now arrest the parents for child endangerment
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@strongbow And, maybe they won't. And, not all of the parents are illegal. Thanks for your live demonstration of black-and-white thinking.
strongbow · 46-50, M
@MarkPaul lol... they are getting deported cause they are illegal, now stop acting like a whiny liberal

@strongbow Read the documentation instead of reciting the easy-to-remember talking points that were prepared for you.
