Is it justice that someone burn forever or be annihilated or be cut off from god because [Spirituality & Religion]

they couldn't believe something for which there was insufficient evidence but that someone who steals and lies and murders but says "i'm really sorry jesus, i did wrong and i believe in you" goes to an eternal life of paradise?

Not according to man but it's a god so maybe it really thinks in ways we could never comprehend

@Celine Then there you have it, you live in the world as you have deemed right. That is what you control, it's yours.

We are not saved because of our actions, we are saved purely based on our faith and the state of our heart.

If a person who murdered fully regrets what he did and holds faith in his Father, then he is better off than someone who lived in ignorance all their lives.

Moral of the story: It's better to be lost for a while and then come back to where you belong, than being lost forever.

@Celine I'm not going to let such a misunderstanding persevere. Other people might be reading our comments so no, I won't let you leave it on a twisted note.

In my opinion I'm the opposite, if God was really like that hypothetically I'd rather burn in hell.

So justice or not, I'd say Satan! Good riddance! I thought I'd be stuck up above with them losers 😏

@Celine Well in my opinion if the bible is human created then it makes sense not to trust their version of a devil. I like to think of all the messed up things in the bible that God did or what they wrote about what God did, I don't make claims. However in my opinion this doesn't sound like people I can trust.

What's more is that lots of religions before them didn't even have Satan, they had a place you chilled before you moved on. Nothing ominous about it.

@Celine I agree.
I'm right there with you about this, but everyone has the right to believe what they want without being mistreated. That goes for everyone including atheists and any other religion. It's not anyone else's place to try to change it. Just my thoughts

The history and psychology of religious experience seems to show that people project much of their own crap onto God. I sort of get where you're coming from. But I'd point out that there are a whole bunch of other theologies. One example being Julian of Norwich who asserted God has no wrath, only man. So she'd not fit into this narrative...

If it's justice you want it would mean nobody lives for all have sinned.
MeisterAndrew · 41-45, M
@Celine Yes, everyone I've met so far who doesn't have had the idea that salvation should somehow be related to the amount of sins a person commits and their severity. That is belief in oneself. Pride

@Celine Well that is what your original post says. Sorry if I'm misinterpreting it but you're saying that the person who doesn't believe but has committed "lesser" sins should go to heaven but the one who believes now but has committed grievous sins should not. Christianity doesn't actually recognise lesser sins and one sin is just as bad as ten. It may work in a court to decide on punishment based on severity of the crime but it doesn't when it comes to salvation and everyone is in the same situation.

Now belief in God is also not based on knowledge of what is as we are all privy to the same knowledge. It can only be something that is transcendental and not based on the state of the human condition. I don't know what the correct criteria for the spirit is but God does and He knows the heart. He has decided on the way to pick that criteria.

We get that you don’t believe in god

Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

- Stephen Weinberg

As long as its in God's name any evil can be justified.
