5- Don't use female characters as prophets. Make sure they know their place.

6- Blame Satan for the horrors in the stories. Every hero needs a villain.

Yes fear is important when it comes to controlling people. "God loves you, but if you don't love him in return according to these rules then he'll torture you forever !"

@Louise let's not overlook the fact the you decided to leave a comment directed at me in reply to my original answer to this question/statement posted by LoneKnight.

You decided to engage with me so I chose to respond. I'm not a hateful person, I was just pointing out that, from my point of view, truth is not to be found in religious doctrine which has been manipulated by man for thousands of years.

Love is good but, like I said, I refuse to love a God who threatens me if I don't.

Namaste. :-)

Delightful and to the point. 馃憣
@goneeee Oh no! My dogma got hit by a karma!
Hyperbolic in my opinion, but, then again, I tend to look for loopholes and 'hedge my bets', so I would be a hypocrite to make an actual argument!
Life choices have consequences. 'puckism 6. I'm sure every 'thinking' person has considered this though.
LoneKnightM
@puck61 Yes, every choice we make in life has its own consequence .Good or bad. Some consequences for the choices we made can be felt sooner than the other.

So that's how bibles are made....
LoneKnightM
@SW-User and other religious texts that condemn one to Hell if they don't follow that particular religion.
SW-User
And it works like a charm.
