Massive COVID upturn in the last few days

Wasn't it supposed to disappear like magic right after the election? I kept seeing that claim here on SW at least, and heard it at least a couple of times out here irl. Instead there is a huge increase nationwide about a week after election day. Almost like all that in-person voting was some sort of nationwide super-spreader event. Whodathunk?

@pagandad I play golf 3-5 times a week. I know ten people who have contracted the virus, all but one over 60, and also know several of their family members also had it. But if people actually realized the risk of death from covid compared to that of various other things such as cancer, heart attacks, auto accidents, etc, they'd realize how much the media has created fear through their sensationalism. And we're all going to die of something.

@NorthernBear I've seen claims by both left and right that the virus will suddenly shift after the election. So don't make it political. Any expectation on the viruses behaviour from an election are dumb and anyone saying is wacko, given both sides have said it, means they are both wacko. As you have a 2 party system, you are all wacko.

The media is now promulgating the most sensational possible crap to petrify the sheeple so they won't revolt as the incoming administration tries to restrict constitutional rights and institute unconstitutional shutdowns to make people totally dependent upon the government. They managed to fool enough people into believing Trump could have stopped the virus to cost him the election and now find it useful for implementing their communist takeover.

It's like the coming of Christ - it keeps getting postponed. First COVID was supposed to be gone on November 4, now it's January 21, next it will be January 21, 2025. Well, it might be gone by then.
