EMPTY AT LAST

Stomach rumbling, the volcano woke from its slumber, vivid dreams diminished; exhaling deeply, it released its first breath. Guts began to churn, deep within its cavity as the putrid aroma filled the air. Appendix irritated, a groan released the deadly build-up of gas, once trapped amongst its loins. Crimson vomit regurgitated, arteries scored, as blood spilled from its aperture. A carpet of hemoglobin wrapped itself around its shoulders; its veins collapsed and the heart gave in, embracing the new energy that was out of control. Red lips quivered and recognizing the weakness in its skeleton, the volcano knew it was defeated. Bones shifting, eyes alert, it stretched out its limbs and destroyed everything in its path. Empty at last.

It’s a good thing I’m not squeamish, as I was reading this while eating. It certainly conjures up an image.

Me too unless it's about crusty feet or injections in the eyeball.@sciguy18

@pennynoodles Are you often subjected to matters involving crusty feet?
pennynoodles · 56-60, F
Not on a personal level no. However, Mr N does like to subject me to watching 'Embarrassing Bodies' on tv and crusty feet seem to be a common sight on there. @sciguy18
