I Think That Personality Is More Important Than Good Looks

Since most of the people we interact with are not going to be someone we are looking to be physically interested in, personality is much more important than looks for most if the time. However, for that 'special' one, a physical attraction is going to be important, but an empty head and heart will counteract that quite quickly. I have some close friends who are not so attractive physically (to me) but are beautiful people and I am enriched by their company, wit and intellect. And they're great fun.
