Depends what you want out of it
I like that no one who already knew me is on here so I’m more comfortable being myself
So
In terms of chatting, I’d say people are more likely to be their real selves(save for the catfish) but there’s certainly less people to choose from

I use both ,at the same time ,
Family and very close friends only on face book (we can video chat real time )
And people I want to know better, safely, here .
If I know you well enough to trust you ,and you want to know me better
Then a select few get to know who I am ,and have access to me and my family .
But I am very careful who gets that much info .
So this site in some ways is safer .no one can get any real information about you here unless you share it .
On Face Book ,the world knows who you are ,and who you know .
and with a little deception ,they can get all they need to ruin you .
Family and very close friends only on face book (we can video chat real time )
And people I want to know better, safely, here .
If I know you well enough to trust you ,and you want to know me better
Then a select few get to know who I am ,and have access to me and my family .
But I am very careful who gets that much info .
So this site in some ways is safer .no one can get any real information about you here unless you share it .

@bijouxbroussard There are a few here that have my name and access to me on Face book from SW ,you would be one I trust to actually know me and my family .
If you set you're filters right ,and who can see you .
Face Book can be safe .
But when you have friends who refuse to stop sending you chain mail and fake reverse engineered warnings ,then you have to choose ,,
This friend or risk endangering my family ?
But I was told to avoid Face Book ,,but my son in law runs a company with his phone ,glasses and a watch ,so he knew how to set me up to be safe and help keep my family safe too .
But for people you trust ,its as safe as YOU make it .
I now have friends who like to be able to just call me ,or video chat while posting and chatting with other friend too .
You can see when they are typing ,who is calling and they can message you while face time with others ,,something we can't do here .
So it has its pro's and cons ..
I only have 80 contacts ,all hand picked .
and I can screen friends of friends too ,,so if I don't want anything they post being read by my family on my wall ,I can fix that too .
Those people know my standards ,,and if they can't agree ,they are history .
No Mod or Admin required for me to never see them again .
And like here ,its who you know .LOL
I have friends who can put trolls in the corn field ,never to be seen again .
at least not on anything effecting me .
