Tony Blair betraying Labour once again.

I'm a little shocked a certain Corbyn supporter hasn't already been up in arms on here about this but Tony Blair has called on Labour voters to vote Tory or Lib Dem if the candidate wants a soft Brexit. Or in other words he is begging for people to make sure Corbyn suffers a huge loss and they get another Thatcherite prick like himself to take charge of Labour. As soon as you think maybe the old Labour party can come back from this neo-liberal disaster Blair turned it into, he comes back to try and ruin everything.

The reasons why I am not angry (as certain Corbyn suporter) are as follows;

1) Nothing Blair could do could ever disappoint me and I mean that in the sense that he's long surpassed my lowest possible expectations. The former leader of a left party has no credibility left to burn, having Godfathered Murdoch's daughter and spent the last decade advising dictators. A leftist satire of a sellout could never be as far fetched as what Tony Blair actually is. Oh yeah. And Iraq.

2) His intervention probably does more to help Corbyn than anything else. Even in the eyes of Blair's would-be base on the right of the Labour Party this is breathtakingly disloyal. Blair's intervention merely enhances Corbyn's anti establishment claims, the idea that Tony is a shyster and that it is Jeremy who is the good guy.

Blair keeps hinting at a come back but he could never carry it off because though he still has friends in the British establishment he is yesterday's man in the public's eyes and also utterly discredited.

I dont think I have words strong enough to express my scorn for Blair. To find him gratuitously and blatantly lying in furtherance of his destruction of the Party he led, is nothing surprising.

I usually laugh at Labour being in such a state as an SNP supporter but I really hoped Labour would get back to their roots. It's a sad state they're in.

@thatscottishguy: Yeah, no matter how things go for Scotland, having your next door neighbour/overlord/biggest economic partner going down the toilet economically and politically, probably is going to be painful for y'all

Blair is a complete hypocrite, I would love to see him on trial.
He doesn't realise that pretty much everyone hates his guts.

@SandInMyShoes: Amazing that even you agree 😂.

@thatscottishguy: Lol, I hate hypocrites like Blair! He campaigned to leave the EEC before too: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3408128/tony-blairs-old-election-leaflet-reveals-the-brexit-wrecker-used-to-want-to-leave-the-eu/

I hadn't seen that but it doesn't shock me. Although I may look for a more credible source than those disgusting bastards.

Some vampires of the past just won't stay dead.

@Picklebobble2: You probably hate him even more for wanting a soft Brexit.

Unless he can offer some sort of insight, i don't give a fig what his opinion is.
He's earned more money than you or i will ever see betraying every possible value his party was founded on.
