Why do police never wait for backup before confronting someone about something serious?
Obviously, sometimes, action has to be taken immediately but I'm talking about non-urgent situations.
Examples include videos I've seen in which...
1. An officer pulled someone over and then talked to the suspect about his arrest warrant without hesitating.
2. A nighttime airport security guard who inspected the pitch dark interior of a plane, alone, armed with nothing but a flashlight, after receiving a report of suspicious noises. (There was no camera guy here; he was filming himself.)
3. A singular officer who confronted three suspects on a sidewalk at night.
Why do they never wait for backup?
