Nahh. I don't think so. China is not keeping me up at night and we've already signed on the dotted line when it comes to Taiwan. We are obligated to keep our promise to Taiwan. Trump is not stupid. Personally, I like the guy. I think he'll be better than Reagan. China is very powerful and smart, but they are 'muscle bound', they don't have the strength to carry their own power. They have an army 50 times larger than the US, but they can't do a damn thing with it. China is the land of bullet trains and wooden plows. Xing Ping is an intelligent and reasonable man, although he winks at a few dirty tricks when it comes to trade, and 'industrial / technical espionage and theft. Not yet. Hell is coming, but not yet, and Trump isn't trying to get us into it with China. Trump only wants to see China 'play fair' when it comes to economic cooperation.

Trump is out to become emperor.
Trump comes from a background and industry where strong-arm tactics are rewarded. He feels as though he can say whatever comes to his mind without regard to other opinions or protocol. He believes his words and actions have no resonating consequences.
China is the leader here with regard to Taiwan; how would we react to Russia treating Puerto Rico like a sovereign nation? Will it cause a war? No. Is it untoward and clumsy, ignorant foreign policy? Yup.
"Get over it" isn't going to work with the world at large.

@Paschar: the point is pash.. There's a certain individual running around placing knee jerk restriction on Russia over BS hacking.. Doing his best to distrupt killing Isis by backing all the wrong ppl.. And all you ever hear is trump is a war mongerer and the end is nigh... All too one sided for mine...

@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: One , I take this into consideration , I knew the man when he was with MS and the reason for his so called retirement was that he had major anger issues with those that didn't see things his way thus he was All too one sided .

On a more serious note : US has circled China with naval bases all over. It has done so quietly over the years. It's the US which is the aggressor. China's posturing in the south China Sea is trying to assert itself in south Asia. It cannot match the US militarily right now hence its emphasis is on trade and economics. It's not itching for a war like Trump is. But if it does happen then there will be no winners.
