ˈlib(ə)rəl/Submit

"they have more liberal views toward marriage and divorce than some people"
2.

synonyms:wide-ranging, broad-based, general
"a liberal education"
noun
1.
a person of liberal views.
Liberals have accomplished great things in this country by being 'squeaky wheels'. I'm one conservative who 'is' aware of the great many things that liberals have accomplished through the years concerning, peace, ecology, labor, and REAL social justice. The problem is, there just aren't many liberals left. What I see are a lot of radical pseudo liberals. The results of poor parenting and broken homes- the results of a cookie cutter education system that no longer teaches people how to learn.
I would much rather find some other word besides "liberals". I think of improved labor laws and conditions, clean air and water, and daisies in the barrels of M16's when I think of liberals. These poor uninformed, uneducated, masses out blocking traffic, and generally disrupting to one extent or another don't strike me as liberals at all.

@puck61: I agree! Protests should never be marginalized though...

I've been told I am way to liberal, I don't believe that's possible, but then again, I am north of the border.
the only way you can be too liberal is when the term is screwed up.

I take being called liberal as a compliment.
me too.

Not sure what that will do to head off whatever Republican onslaught you have been experiencing but i wish you luck.
thanks, one of them gave me a ludicrous definition of what liberal means...
NodandaWink · 51-55, M
Ah, i thought it might be related to something like that. Well, i guess words mean what we decide they mean. So when they redefine the word that's what it is to them. Arguing with them will just give you a headache. Pearls before swine, right?
the problem is dictionary interpretations are totally different to social media, commercial media and political uses of these terms.
but to me...that is the definition

I'm an liberal and that's an definition out of some Hillary dictionary
