Are the immigrants causing the crisis on the border with Mexico all conservatives? Future Republican voters?

Why else would they ignore the US role in Latin America and seek shelter in the arms of their attacker?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Irony is wasted on the stupid- Oscar Wilde

Think about it for a while. You might actually figure it out
@HoraceGreenley No, this meme is by the stupid, for the stupid.
@HoraceGreenley Here is one that is much more relevant and based in reality not ignorance.

@HoraceGreenley Gosh, the fact that people are fleeing here from countries where they risk being murdered means racism doesn’t exist.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The US is responsible for destabilizing central and South American countries? The drug cartels. Narcostates and corrupt governments have nothing to do with it?

These are failed states and their citizens are economic refugees.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom They are fleeing violence and poverty.
@HoraceGreenley It's hilarious that you don't think US policy in the region contributed to the violence and poverty.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom You think Socialism and Narcoterrorism was exported from the US?
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom I think its hilarious that you believe these countries are failed states because of anything the US did.
Take a breath of fresh air dude
@HoraceGreenley Yeah, I'm sure the CIA overthrowing the government in Guatemala in the 1950s to keep them from nationalizing United Fruit had absolutely no effect on the country. Same with our propping up dictatorships because they were "anti-communist."

Open a history book, you ignorant cretin.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom So that stuff that happened well over 30 years ago is still influencing the region today.

And reducing the amount of Socialism in the region, such as stopping the nationalization of the biggest company in Guatemala has lead to the creation of narcostates.

You have a lot of misdirected anger.

These are failed states.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Perhaps you believe that Hugo Chavez was good for Venezuela?

The drug trade has far more influence over the region than anything the US did.

@HoraceGreenley All of poverty is the fault of the Yankees! And not just poverty, but bad moods and toe stubbing!
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@Human1000
Well I'll tell ya pilgrim,
I do like their women and their booze
@HoraceGreenley You people always bring up Chavez as if he means anything. It's like that's the only name you're aware of, because right-wing media constantly drums into your head how starving Venezuelans ate zoo animals or something.

Was Árbenz bad for Guatemala? Other than opposing United Fruit, that is.

Do you think Perón was good for Argentina? Was Pinochet good for Chile?

You really need to read a little history of the region beyond just bleating "Chavez baaaaad."

And if you blame the "drug trade," maybe if we legalized drugs, the illicit profit motive would be removed. Organized crime doesn't profit from alcohol or tobacco.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Here we go. Everything is Amrica's fault and legalized drugs would stop all the problems.

Stay in your drug induced haze and preside over the America Haters Club.

But for God's sake man, keep your tedious drivel to yourself.
@HoraceGreenley I don't use drugs, I'm not a cokehead like everyone in the Trump family except Barron seems to be.

I didn't say "everything is America's fault;" I pointed out that U.S. actions in Central and South America have contributed to the problems seen there today. Like most conservatives, your understanding of history is rudimentary, and you don't see any options other than drooling reverence for the U.S. or wanting to destroy it, with nothing in between.

Since the War on Drugs hasn't reduced their use, and has destabilized the countries that either produce or market them, maybe we should try another strategy instead of following Puritanical guidelines for emotional reasons.
@HoraceGreenley The US has everything to do with destabilizing Latin America. This is not even new. Have you been in a coma since the 50s?

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Horace is one of those people who thinks the only thing wrong with the US is that Democrats haven't been rounded up and executed. Don't you know that we were fighting communism? Those anti-communist dictators we installed were the good guys! We did the Native Americans a favor by taking their land and forcing them to assimilate. Same with the Africans who were fortunate enough to be enslaved and spared a horrible existence of living in huts and eating insects to survive.

There's no reasoning with brainwashed robots like him.
@LeopoldBloom Well he supports the same people who compared mask mandates to the holocaust and being banned from social media to the NSDAP.
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Tell your revisionist history to someone that gives a damn
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't support anything of the kind
@HoraceGreenley That is the GOP.
