'They will behead us': Afghans who helped American troops now fear for their lives

As the United States approaches the Sept. 11 deadline for pulling American troops from Afghanistan, advocates increasingly warn that some 18,000 locals who helped U.S.-led forces will be hunted down by vengeful Taliban.

"These people will have a bullseye and a target on their back from the moment we leave the country," Rep. Michael McCaul said Monday at a hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

In the past six years, the Texas Republican said, 300 Afghans have been killed in retribution for working with U.S. forces. "If we abandon them, we are signing their death warrants."

Meanwhile, Biden is deciding on his favorite flavor of ice cream and allowing anybody and everybody flood the southern border.

The Biden Administration - What a bunch of cold hearted, self serving ass holes.

The demonocrats openly supported the north vietnamese, and look what happened to the south vietnamese when the north took over the south. Nothing has changed, the demonocrats could care less about the Afghans, unless the Afghans illegally entered the USA, then the demonocrats would be meeting the Afghans at the border, voter registration cards already filled out

@sunsporter1649 If these people get a refugee / asylum seeker status, you'll be happy to invite them in Sporter. Might be house free in your neighbourhood.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Kwek00 How many you going to invite into your neighborhood?
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@sunsporter1649 We already got a lot of people from Iraq over here... the US forgot to save those people, so they took a floaty and risked their life on the meditereanan. That mess was also not part of our making, but since we are fairly close, we have to take these people in and help them out considering their refugee / asylum seeking status.

But since part of the people that we are talking here, have aided the US for years during the time that the United States had a militairy operation over there, and since everyone suddenly seems to care a lot even though Obama and Trump both run with the idea to bring the troops back home... maybe the logical conclussion is to care enough to take those people that helped your country and risked their lifes with you to the United States.

Else they will become refugees annyway, and probably end up in other country. Chances are that will be in Europe too.

I would give our Afghan allies and collaborators asylum. @sunsporter1649 @Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson That would at least be consistent. And I know, because I hearted your message about that yesterday. I suggested it to Budwick too... But a lot of the republican friends rather use this to build up more polemics towards the opposition even if they are inconsistent considering the actions of the last 5 years not to mention the campaign promises of both Obama and Trump.

It would be humane. However it would not change my policy towards the southern border. @Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson This conversation has nothing to do with the southern border.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Agree and I want it to stay that way lol. @Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson If that is what you want, then I advice you to not bring it up.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I’ll give that advice the attention it deserves - None. It was a request, a warning a proviso. Don’t be trying to bully me. I thought we had reached detente and have been taking it easy on you 🤠 @Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson 🤷‍♂️ no reason to take it easy on me.
I wouldn't have brought it up, so I didn't need the warning.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Don’t you be even remotely trying to tell me or anyone else what they may or my not write. @Kwek00
WalterCrunkRight · 46-50, M
@jackjjackson …says the man telling people what to write.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Still spewing douchebaggery. You’re like a bad fungus. @WalterCrunkRight
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson That's why I gave you advice, what you do with is your own thing. If you want to take it to some extreme place where you feel belittled, you can do that. I have no issue with you being pissed off about nothing.
WalterCrunkRight · 46-50, M
@jackjjackson I’m enjoying your company. You come across as thoughtful and unbiased. You treat people the way you’d want to be treated. Please tell me more.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Pissed off? Poking fun at your ilk is easy sport. @Kwek00
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@jackjjackson Poking fun at people is the easiest sport Jack, that's why so many people excell at it.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Kwek00
Poking fun at people is the easiest sport Jack
@Budwick That's not even poking fun at annyone, that's just bullying Budwick. That's the lowest of the lowest form of fun something you are really good at it because it fits the rest of your personality like a glove.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@WalterCrunkRight @Kwek00 Good bye boys.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
