Trump is the first One term president in 30 years. Most Americans vote for stability and the status quo. Why wasn't Trump reelected?

Do we have to do this on a Monday morning?

Show everyone how good they had it

Like you said, we vote for stability. Orange Julius was about as unstable as they come.

There was nothing stable or status quo about Trump.
His economic numbers soared, his unemployment numbers fell, there was peace in the Middle East, and he scared the bejeezus out of the left.

[@841775,Budwick] peace in the Middle East? Really now? You mean magically the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was solved...odd there were rockets recently then.

And let's not talk about that genocide in Yemen, or Iran and Saudi Arabia doing proxy wars.

[@23671,basilfawlty89] There was relative peace in the Middle East during Trump's administration.

[@841775,Budwick] mhm...that before or after Trump betrayed the Kurds who helped the US and allowed Turkey to bomb and shoot them in Syria?

🤔......

Nobody likes a constantly whinging and argumentative person.

Those constant endless moans on social media; confrontational speeches at world leaders events….at a time when people needed solidarity and togetherness Trump was the opposite.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
Because he was a dismal failure as President and of course because he was "cheated"! 😆
deadgerbil · 22-25, M
It's been said that if trump was a smart person and actually handled the pandemic better, he may have won reelection.

Thankfully, the ignorance of this nation that he represents very well flowed through him and he shot himself in the foot.
As [@841775,Budwick] said, there's really very little status quo about Trump or Trumpism, and my guess is that had a lot to do with his loss.

When before have we had a President like him?

You can pick out "policies" he supposedly stood for that matched up with mainstream thought, but the dishonesty and contempt for everything really is unique and I hope never repeated.

There was no stability and status quo with Hidin' Insurrectionist Baby-trump. That's what he never got (and still doesn't). Except for the minority of grizzled malcontents who bought into the silly school girl's notion they have lost something (that they never had) most people, regardless of political leaning, were literally desperate to return to stability and the status quo.
Carla · 61-69, F
Because he was a dangerous embarrassment.
Nothing status quo about that.
DocSavage · 18-21, M
He’s unstable. Obviously.
