@Subsumedpat I know this is crazy - out of the box thinking but, what if we find the fuckwads doing it and come down on them like way hard to
A) Stop them and
B) Discourage others.

@Budwick I think that is the problem we sometimes get a general idea of from where the attack occurred but sometimes not even that.

@Subsumedpat Not to mention, that the last guy in office just kept the budget for this constant. An in a bad year for cybercrime, even shaved off 119 milion dollars.
The last president that pushed the budget up when it comes to cybercrime was Obama, first to 14 bilion and then to 19 bilion.

But for @Budwick this is all super important now, but he didn't care for 4 years and hates the guy that actually did something about it before that. 🤷‍♂️

This is more an expression of being absolutely stupid then being concerned.

@Budwick Like the ones that cracked Hillaries computer? Or the ones that gave information of the democratic campaign to people of the Trump campaign?

@Subsumedpat funny how the current administration can "find" evidence about Trumps supposed collusion with Russia when there isn't any trail/evidence

But they can't find a few hackers with evidence and a digital footprint to follow... 🤔

@Budwickno i don'w know any , just seems obvious to me that since you never seem to hear about them getting caught and people are paying the ransoms they must be successful at staying anonymous.

But, who has greater resources to do so than the US government?
Like @wildbill83 pointed out, the dems were able to find hard evidence that they never shared with anyone that Trump was a Russian agent. Surely, their inside sources can help in this matter.

@Budwick Seeems the same, the democrats found evidence of but can prove, we find evidence of cyber attack but can't prove who did it just general ideas and sometimes not even that.
