Trump is ramping up again and making noise about conspiracies and taking back the White House...

As an ex-President, is he more or less powerful than when he was first campaigning?

I get the feeling that the way he is going, there are tons of defamation lawsuits headed his way. Democrats and establishment Republicans take him seriously enough to be driven to take him down at any cost now, and he no longer has the protection of the presidency or a friendly attorney general
I'll be glad when the republicans are finally listed as a terrorist organization.

As Max Boot just noted, Trump's "ability to hornswoggle tens of millions of voters is no laughing matter."

@MistyCee can you think of another example of a politician that has his level of control over his voters? I cannot.
@monte3 Nor can I. In fact, I can't think of any otherAmerican politician who would have dared to try and sell half the garbage he's spouted, like don't believe your eyes and ears.

The guy is literally setting up his followers to support him against not just western civilization, but also the kind of social compromises that have been with us since before we lived in caves and cooperatively hunted mammoths.

why are you guys so obsessed with someone who isn't even an official anymore? what are you afraid of? i genuinely want to know? was a booming economy, and low unemployment, low amount of people on govt assistance that bad? lol i guess so for a bunch of people who never wanted to work
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MethDozer When he is dead or imprisoned and is no longer a threat to the nation.
MethDozer · M
@windinhishair Obsessed
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@MethDozer Just diligent. Nothing more or less.
He's just a comedy sideshow now with a constant eye on how to squeeze more money out the suckers who fall for his BS.
He'll never get back into the White House.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
I think he's always been divorced from reality and consequences... But I do believe he's dangerous
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Trump is a continuing danger to democracy, enabled by feeble, sycophantic Republicans. He is more dangerous now than when he first ran, because he has an armed Cult behind him. His severe mental illness, malignant narcissism, is now laid bare for all to see. This will not end well, for Trump and his Cult, or the nation.
@windinhishair The real question is how many in the military will actually defend democracy. As my nephew has already broken his military oath by siding with traitors.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@canusernamebemyusername That is indeed a big concern. If the military do not do their jobs under direct orders, democracy will fail.
KimmyGary · F
I say he should be locked up for terrorism

Trump has never had a political platform then hasn't first than echoed by his own constituents. He was a Democrat before he was a Republican and during all of that never really a voting citizen to begin with. Trump is interested in Trump. How that is not glaringly obvious to anyone by this point...

Trump likes power, Fame and adoration. Give him that and you can live rent free as long as you like. Raise Your Voice one time in opposition and see what happens. Trump does not know or understand loyalty, so he will never give it. Truump has never known need or average life, so he will never offer safety and opportunity to the average citizen. He certainly did not care about them as a real estate developer J , and it never caught on as president.

His popularity is fading, no one likes a whiny loser and that's all Trump can talk about....playing the victim as usual.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@JeanAnna a caricature...
Pretzel · 61-69, M
there are die hard fans - but I think more people are saying "yeah yeah, sit down and shut up don"
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
The biggest danger is how the Republican party will eventually be divided in the future.

Whether they follow him or not, just the support of that kind of arrogance will effect the future of the country.

Look at other effects that already have happened like the elimination of voting rights in Florida and Texas.

Texas becoming a huge Republican gathering base with them coming from other states not just California like so many like to complain about. California was lost to them in the Obama years. And they are still complaining about it.

How the party attitude goes is far more important than Trump himself.

They can always vote in another dictator giving their current attitudes. And that is very worrisome.

Trump should have been on his way to prison at noon on January 20. I'll bet he never spends a single night behind bars.

If he cared about people and this country he'd sit down and shut up
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@SW-User Trump has never cared about anyone but Trump in his entire life.
SW-User
@hunkalove It seems like it
BigAssLeech · 31-35, M
Not gonna lie, it's been really entertaining to see him so publicly go downhill.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
He yanked your chain, didn’t he?
Gangstress · 41-45, F
he is dangerous though
Coppercoil · M
Who cares.. let it go.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
It's probably not legal to employ duct tape in certain ways, is it?
Viper · M
Depends on who and how many follow him...
MethDozer · M
A lot of people I know who were and still are fans of his Presidency are eye rolling his post election behaviour.
