Amnesia Affecting Parts Of The USA

As if we don't have other problems to contend with, Amnesia is spreading fast through a segment of the US population.

Gas prices, at the pump, are now back to about the same level they were at, spring going summer, 2017, 2018, and 2019. They're referring to it as gas prices going back to where they used to be during the Obama years, but I double checked, and looks like Trump was President during those years. And there is no such thing as a single gas price during a single President's term in office.

Further good news, it seems as the crisis related to the tens of thousands of jobs, lost to the keystone pipeline project, will not materialize. Turns out it was only a few permanent jobs. Jobs that can be easily absorbed by other industries.

And the energy independence we were going to have due to the Keystone pipeline? More good news. Turns out we're already capable of producing as much as we need, and, get this, the keystone pipeline's output was not slated to US domestic production. It was headed to the Far East.

There is a cure. It's called informing yourselves, using facts. Try it, there is no downside.

*** Gas prices data comes from the daily tracker for the US Energy Information Administration, a US-EIA government agency. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/EER_EPMRU_PF4_RGC_DPGD.htm

I think gas prices are at best a really crude (no pun intended) indicator of economic health.

@Burnley123 Exactly high gas prices might be because of a strong economy meaning more demand.
