The G7 have found agreement among themselves for a 'universal corporate tax avoidance system' which they want to impose on some of the world's biggest tax dodging companies.

It's interesting.

1. I think it shows just how little faith they have in this 'economic recovery' they've [b]ALL[b] been spouting about for the past year but shows no signs of happening.

2. I think they've slowly realized you can't continually up prices for booze; cigarettes and petrol and hope to make the necessary tax gains required.

3. I think 'the people' have had enough of being taxed up the wazoo amid a pandemic and they know how politically unpopular any attempted rises would be.

4. They've deliberately set the proposed tax rate low enough that some of the big corporations might think.....this is peanuts, let's just pay it and move on.

Be interesting to see how it plays out.
