If the Sixties were so cool and revolutionary, How come we still work for the same corporations and there's still a war going on all the time

Heartlander80-89, M
the easy answers: Because the same corporations bankroll Washington DC and war represents political opportunity. How many politicians are the first to yell CHARGE! then later blame their political opponents for sending the country into a needless and immoral war?

馃.....I have nothing against large Corporations. The best job I ever had was working for one of the largest banks in the world.
As far as war, The United States needs to stop trying to police the world!!
The sixties and seventies were the best.
imo......

Your dislike for corporations seems to be taking over your life, or at the very least your feed.

They were cool and tumultuous. There was a lot of Civil Rights movements and legislation passed for Voter's and race quality.
The Corporation s represent Tax Revenue and their existence today only proves Our Government and Free Enterprise works and thrives for the long haul.

Because we grew up
Lots of things were accomplished during those days that changed the circumstances under which we work for those corporations, and we鈥檙e not still fighting the war that was going on back then.
