Trump travel ban v Biden travel ban

Last year Trump banned travel to China and was labeled a racist. (Biden accused Trump of xenophobia)
Now when Biden bans travel to India why does he gets a free pass?

because the left are total hypocrites and the media is in bed with them. plain and simple.
@boudinMan Biden is trying to stop the spread of new variants. He's not blaming India, he's not coming up with racist words and catchphrases. He's not flooding airports with potentially infected people. He's not trying to keep information about new variants hidden from the American people. He's not blaming India while doing Trade deals with them.

@Pitchblue LOL, more bullschiff from a left-wing nut job
@sunsporter1649 Someone needs to buy you a new dress you keep wearing the same one.👗👜

@Pitchblue the fact of the matter is that china SHOULD be blamed, but dims, in order to score political points, prefer to blame a republican president. the actions taken are the same, the response to it is the only thing that is different. and therein lies the hypocrisy.

@boudinMan Blaming China is pointless and shortsighted - and if Trump had an energetic and effective response to the pandemic that merely started with China travel restrictions Biden wouldn't be in the white house right now. We had enough warning time and separation to enact the Australian scenario.

Instead he adopted a "we banned Chinese nationals, so it can't happen here" attitude, shit away whatever time he gained, then acted shocked when the virus didn't just disappear.
boudinMan · 61-69, M
@QuixoticSoul no, it's not pointless to blame the country that caused the pandemic and withheld important information about it and continues to do so.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@boudinMan It's completely pointless - especially in the sort of unproductive general way Trump was doing it. It's almost as if he thought that talking about how it was all China's fault freed him from any responsibility to do anything about the situation.

Well, tough shit, the American people didn't buy it.

@boudinMan And do you hold Trump responsible for making it worse? My understanding from a PBS Frontline episode is that China screwed up. I think there is legitimate criticism, but Trump, of course, demagogued the issue. C'mon man, "Kung Flu?"

@QuixoticSoul your response demonstrates just how unpatriotic you and the dimocrat party truly are. absolve the guilty party while accusing your president and his efforts. it wouldn't have mattered what trump did... the dims saw a political opportunity and took it. kudos to you and them.

@boudinMan I'm a citizen of multiple countries and pride myself on not being patriotic in regards to any of them, so thanks. This lets me be grounded in reality instead of blind "pro patria mori" sentiment.

Nobody is absolving anyone of anything - but ultimately, it's not China's responsibility to take care of Americans, it's the potus', and instead of doing anything, he played the blame game.

Btw I don't belong to any political parties either. That's joiner nonsense, like patriotism.

@QuixoticSoul
instead of doing anything
wow, just wow.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@boudinMan The American response was incredibly anemic and ineffective. Like I said - we had enough time and separation to enact the Australian scenario, and the potus squandered it.
