I agree. American political coverage is simultaneously too personality based and too data based. The questions of why people are voting is somehow secondary.
There is also the issue that opinions are somehow given equal weight regardless of their factual merit.

That they cannot underestimate the public cross checking facts for the truth. They're still bending truth with propaganda.I'll stick with alternative media outlets. Thanks for sharing.

Trump was covered as a celebrity, not as a politician. This lead to many Republicans feeling that they didn't have a choice.

This may surprise you, but I totally agree with this. Alas, our media's focus overall seems to be about attracting interest and entertaining, rather providing any real information or "news".

SOME legitimate media outlets chose sensationalism and the creation of a false equivalency over reporting. Unfortunately, that's where the vast majority of Americans get their "news." Of course, most don't even do that. They're entirely apathetic.
