whats this about getting rid of the fillibuster?

@NCCindy lol fair point. democrats are kinda spineless and don't even take advantage of things they themselves set up. but idk maybe things are different now. republicans wouldn't even vote on the relief bill so i think thats a pretty clear message they have no interest in working with the democrats on anything. maybe the dems will actually learn that lesson, get rid of the fillibuster and ram things through.

@NoahB Both parties have been equally good at obstructing the majority party from their goals when they're out of power.

Love it or hate it, the filibuster has been a moderating force in our government. It keeps both parties from going off the deep end !!!

I live in NC ... a state that loves to call itself the Purplest state in the nation. Neither party has a clear majority and it's unlikely that that will change in the near future. It keeps both sides honest !!! I appreciate that a lot !!!

Our state legislature actually was dead even on both sides for almost a year, with no tie breaker rule ... believe it or not, things still got done and people HAD TO REACH ACROSS THE AISLE !!!

@NCCindy im actually doing some research and just found out mitch mcconnel already nuked the fillibuster in 2017 to ram through 3 right wing supreme court justices lol. so yeah i say just get rid of it if it can just be turned on and off by the majority party anyway
