The Nuclear code letter issue

Why are house Democrats asking Biden to relinquish his sole authority to use nuclear weapons?
On the face of it they say they don’t feel one person should have that power.

Could it be a subtle way of saying they don’t feel that Biden is up to this for reasons other than it shouldn’t be in the hands of one person?

Here's a clue for you, from the letter signed by 30 Democrats, NOT House Democrats:
Past presidents have threatened to attack other countries with nuclear weapons or exhibited behavior that caused other officials to express concern about the president’s judgment
Their concern is not Biden, it's another Trump, or actually Trump himself.

Yesterday, during a Fox Interview, Mitch McConnell said that he would absolutely support Trump for President in 2024, if he wins the primaries.
@Northwest The letter which is a joint venture of Ca. representatives Jimmy Panetta and Ted Lieu was endorsed by 31 House Democrats.
As to their “concern” yes it could be about “another” Trump or Biden.

Perhaps you missed this part, so I will paste it again:

No president has or has ever had sole authority to begin the nuclear attack. His codes, like any president's, were activated the moment he took power.

Even they have their limits and they don't want a dementia patient to have the code.
