California has climate change related wildfires like every 8 months and republicans dunked on it mercilessly for power outage issues

Texas has *one* climate change related snowstorm and their entire infrastructure is destroyed rendering its citizens basically without power and water and trapped in igloos for days.

I've said this a million times but climate change is coming for those republican states too.

It all started in May 28th, 2016.. when they killed that damn gorilla

Noah - eco-nerds refused to let the forests in California be properly managed. As a result, the forests are tinder boxes. Let's also not forget that if it weren't for California importing water from nearby states - it would return to it's natural desert condition.

Eco-nerd also refuse nuclear power. Gotta have wind power. Which is great until it's gets chilly - then the windmills freeze.

I think the climate is changing. It has been changing ever since there has been climate.
The key is to be smart and adapt.

* Remove kindling dead wood from forests.
* Don't over populate areas, there by further stressing the resources.
* Be smarter, think ahead. It's not the first time it got cold in Texas. Don't assume it will never happen again. In fact, either fill in New Orleans, or tell everyone to leave. It WILL flood again.

@NoahB I know, right?

And where's all the dunking on Texas and its failure to keep the power on? All that talk about how much California sucks but Texas seems to suck just as much.

In 2020 California, Oregon, and Colorado all had their worst wildfire seasons in history (and we in Washington had it worse than usual too). There's no way that climate change isn't playing a role.

@Vivaci oh for sure. i have no hope for them anymore lol
God should knock some sense into them, but I think even He’s given up. @NoahB

Sadly after this is over, Republicans will go back to dunking on California for it’s forestfires. Forgetting that a snowstorm made Texas useless.
showing like a &$#@& in Mexico...... thats a change.

@Budwick well im glad youre kind enough to share lol

Send your neighbor a bill and drop one of these off

Don't forget the hurricane that hit Houston a couple of years ago and dropped 60 inches of rain in a few days. That exceeded the Probable Maximum Precipitation (i.e., the greatest accumulation of precipitation for a given duration meteorologically possible for an area) that engineers use for designing critical infrastructure. That climate change impact was so strong that even some die-hard Republicans in East Texas admitted that there "maybe was something to this climate change thing."

We'll see more and more of this as time goes on.

If ca. Fires are climate change related why give pge exemptions from lawsuits?
Why try a man for setting one?

@QuixoticSoul We're underwater?
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@eli1601 Which Popular Mechanics article told you we’d be under water in 2021?
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul 😂 👍
eli1601 · 70-79, M
Climate change related 🤣
eli1601 · 70-79, M
@QuixoticSoul Uninformed? Let's see. Being an actual witness vs posting a graph. Okay. 😂
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@eli1601 Spectacularly uninformed. Clearly, you were not a witness to the meetings that mattered.

It isn't climate change. It is God trying to get your attention. It will get worse under the current Godless administration and world government.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Baremine Yet God didn't send a plague until the last year of Trump, I stay on my case lol
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Baremine You will obviously support whoever you are told. Facts and actions no longer matter. All that matters is the Cult of Trump.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Baremine If God is angry about Democrats, why did He bury the central USA and all it's red states while leaving the liberal coasts untouched?

It also says things like "feed the hungry" and "give shelter to the poor", but you and yours seem pretty solidly against that.

some people here are being foolishly giddy about the unreliability of renewable wind energy being proven
Niburu · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul I was unaware the natural gas power plants have frozen up as well, they must be poorly designed in Texas, the ones we have here in Virginia work in all weather conditions
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
@Niburu Somehow, Canadians keep their wind farms going through the winter as well. Texas was simply not prepared for these conditions. And as these extreme weather events become more common, it becomes obvious that nobody actually is.
Niburu · 51-55, M
@QuixoticSoul I suspect the Canadian wind turbines have a de-icing heating element built into the generator housing, I'd also bet it was an option that was not taken when the Texas utility that bought them failed to opt for.
Texas is a red state, I don't care what happens to them.
