Do you believe that COVID-19 was intentional?

Not at all, and it bugs me that rather than coming together and sharing info to fight something that is potentially lethal to all of us people are wasting time trying to assess blame. Makes no sense and solves nothing.

@bijouxbroussard Most people in the world are. There's just more of the nutbars in one country. 🙄
@ninjavu Sad, but true. And that’s who seems to be making the most noise. 🙁
Magenta · F
No, but I believe humans created it through their own constant arrogant obsession with screwing with nature.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
Stop trolling question bot.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 Apparently even a Russian Bot can get an SW Question if they keep trying long enough.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@windinhishair No, its a Trumpster submitting questions about Cheeeiyna to the question bot cos they thought it would add credibility.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Burnley123 Da comrade. They have the same goals and aspirations for Mother Russia.

Covid-19, just like HIV and other viruses that used to be geographically contained, are inevitable and a consequence of our evolution, air travel and our curiosity to explore.

It was only a matter of time.

An understanding of how HIV spread, will help explain Covid-19 and other viruses. I recommend the book "And The Band Played On". The author of the book did an incredible job tracing HIV back to Africa. He wrote a second book, before he died of complications related to AIDS.

@Northwest that's a copy, not an explanation. COVID and HIV are transfered in entirely different ways, so what can we learn from the spread of HIV about the spread of COVID?
Northwest · M
@NerdyPotato yes it’s a copy, that was the explanation. The point is not about the method of transmission, but the inevitability of these things leaving their original geographical area.

No. The dna sequencing shows it came from horseshoe bars probably via another species to humans. The dna sequence also shows zero man-made components.

It's like Spanish flu, bubonic plague etc just we're living through the covid-19 one
Tsondru · M
Security analysts have been speaking about a respiratory viral pandemic as an inevitability for decades.
@Tsondru Yes, the start of it. The vast majority of scientists hasn't said it couldn't be ended.
Tsondru · M
@NerdyPotato True. We have the knowledge to control and end these things.
yeronlyman · 51-55, M
Nope

Coronaviruses appear in nature and the design is not novel to SARS-CoV-2
There are seven human corona viruses
Cierzo · M
I believe it was created in a lab,but it was not meant to be released now, it was an accident.
ABCDEF7 · M
@Cierzo it could be one possibility.

No, totally natural but for humans bringing things together in a wet market that are not normally together in the wild. Result of unhealthy habits of humans.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
No. Pandemics have happened throughout history. Would we apply malicious cause to all of them? Hardly seems possible.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
No, of course not. That's ludicrous.
I am highly suspicious of how quickly it spread.Far too quick for something that occurred naturally.......
And now governments know they can surpress their subjects at will i expect more things to emerge which require the population to be kept imprisoned.
No...but the gross mishandling of it by some was certainly intentional...
Driver2 · M
Yes , it was spread intentionally for sure , communist have no morals and are very capable of justify killing their own people. Only a fool would think they would not do it to other countries.
2cool4school · 46-50, F
@Driver2 what if it’s been done by the country or countries that are suffering?? Like a false flag event for population control ?? Just playing devil’s advocate if you are.
SW-User
@Driver2 any proof?

You can argue the Chinese response was at times in 2019 slow etc but once they admitted it they sequenced it quickly and that is leading to the current vaccines etc

It moved because we have so much global travel. It is pretty clear the spread on early 2020 in Europe was via skiing trips and the thousands taking that back into their communities
Driver2 · M
@2cool4school @SW-User well they e we oiled not let anyone in the infected area to travel inside China and yet allowed them to travel all over the world.
Plus it was confirmed and admitted it originated in the lab in China.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
Nope. At most it was a virus they were studying that accidentally escaped the lab.
Disposal · 36-40, M
No, but they need to stop adding things to the menu.
SW-User
No, but I think it was absolutely preventable.
2cool4school · 46-50, F
False Flag Event ???
Lilymoon · F
Yikes I hope not. 😝
Not for a minute.
