Another type might be the curable ones when confronted to the real harsh reality of life and human nature might still reconsider their brainwashing. But those who are 100 percent and whose raison d'etre , sense of identity, so totally affiliate with the ideology will carry on seeing mirages and totally deny reality even if very brutal.
