@revenant No they aren't, it's just a part of them. Part of growing up is learning to deal with that aspect of humanity. That when you are angry you don't just start punching people, when you get horny you just don't rape the first thing you see, when you long for something you don't just break into someones house to get it. Keeping all these things in check and learning to deal with it and making better descisions in life is part of becoming an adult.
There are places where you can indulge on those aspects of your humanity. You can do a sport, go to the whores, etc... you give it a place. But that place should never be in a political process that decides the future of an entire nation. If it elevates itself to that spot, a lot of crap happens. It's bad enough that people die at a sports game with 10.000 supporters attending, let alone that a country with millions start indulging in emotional insanity.
