How can you tell if someone is really a Marxist? What words give them away?

They use words like, "the collective", and the word "global" as a compliment or complimentary descriptive, and overuse the word "racist", which appears to be applied indiscriminately to all non-Marxists.

What other words do Marxists use which give them away..."revolution"? I know there are more.

Excellent question !!!

I see 2 types. The overly sensitive, emotion driven and prone to emotional blackmail....you know the you want to kill granny type and how shameful of you and bla bla

and the 2nd one being very very cold, pure logic driven and ready to show you graphs and percentages all over the place and they talk to you in a very remote fashion ..I am not sure how to describe it.
MethDozer · M
@DukeOfEarle You're trying to suggest authoritarians, Religious fundimentalists, rigid conservatism, and austerity proponents aren't running on emotions? Lolololololol.

Sorry bud, WRONG....Both far ends of the political spectrum are emotionally driven. You're boy in the White house is an overly emotional trainwreck.

Don't confuse communism (derived from Karl Marx ideology, from which Marxism) and globalism. Not only they're not the same thing, but oftentimes communists are de facto anti-globalist and actually isolationist (e.g. NK)
revenant · F
@Elessar is that a collapsed house in the bottom right ? a tent ?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@revenant I had no idea how to portray a collapsed house with sticks, so that's the best thing I could came up within 30 seconds lol
revenant · F
@Elessar applause 😊
revenant · F
You can see a lot repeating university jargon employing lots of big words so they appear very knowledgeable and they are waiting to see you confused over terms like neo this or keynaysian that.
All from books and zero real life experience

@Elessar @revenant Sorry to abandon you and my question, but it appears I have injured my wrist again. Going offline now.

@4meAndyou No prob, take care ma'am 🤗

@revenant I have a degree and my own business, my wife has her doctorate and teaches in our state college, our city is run by liberals due to the control of academia and brainwashed students.

Our town used to be conservative and was run very well. Now it sucks due to academia and the brainwashed snowflakes.

My wife and I have become a rare breed here as we are both staunch conservative that are fed up with the idiot left.

I like to wear a hat that says Marxist lol
Budwick · 70-79, M
@JovialPlutonian
competition only creates losers
Competition creates winners!

Marxist non competitive nature allows only the one that tows the party line - whether it's good or bad.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@revenant I love passion, without passion you wouldn’t have a life. I’m saying you don’t have to fight people, you could use your passion to create love not fear. Fear is only relevant to experience love. Both must be present.
revenant · F
@JovialPlutonian wasn't it you who said there was no place for fear ? but you always fight with people in a way...you compete for jobs, homes, grades, education and mates..you always compete with others in life. Not everybody has the same strengths and weaknesses. You learn about yourself via others too

@Nimbus Yes, permanent a-hole widening...🤣🤣🤣...takes them straight from painfully crankypated to downright burgeoning spouts of vicious verbal nastiness...🤣🤣🤣.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
One key giveaway is when they start implying or making no-compromise, "or else!" demands. Another is the undermining of all authority or allegiance except to themselves.

My favorite is their limited interpretation of "equality" with their own narrow definition of what makes us equal.

@SW-User

I'm an independent with my political affiliation being anti-Democrat.

What I like most about Republicans is that they aren't Democrats.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander I am an Independent voter also. Supposedly, WE are the ones the Democrats want to court...but they lost me a long time ago.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou

:) like what Republicans do best is to fumble the ball. What Democrats do best is to plow up and destroy the field.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
They stir up shit with a stick in order to manipulate citizens into becoming enraged against their government and they are relentless.... they come up with more & more ludicrous antics in Order to create hostilities in the minds of the “disenfranchised”.

@cherokeepatti they bait and bait and bait to get a rise out of you

@cherokeepatti how horrible !!! totally the means justify the end types. Be inhumane for the sake of humanity
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Well my friend openly says he is a Marxist. I think he likes the idealism of it more than anything. I have caught him out saying stuff like "making someone redundant is violence" and I called him out on it and told him it sounded very propaganda-like and verbose, and that you don't get to redefine words like that.

I don't know if that's something he read and is repeating it but it sounds like it lol. I've argued with him a lot but I don't have a problem with his beliefs, I know he means well. Funny thing is about the racist part (its definitely not all marxists who say stuff like that) but Marx was one of the biggest racists there was.
4meAndyou · F
@Ryannnnnn It's all so disgusting...but from what I understand, in the 1920's and 1930's it was sort of common for people to think and feel that way. But what I find even MORE disgusting is that Planned Parenthood is continuing their selective genocide today. It is a system geared to low income women...yet the award winning employee of the month director, who turned her coat and quit...says that she was supposed to PUSH abortions... double her quota, *they have quotas*, and HER Planned Parenthood boss at the time told her, "THAT's how we make our money
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@4meAndyou That's the problem with those things being a business I guess, all it takes is one greedy cunt. I think it's less so of a eugenics driven conspiricy and simply about making money, just like how the private prisons make money when politicians pass laws that gaurentee more people behind bars.

It becomes a very disturbing game they play, I'd say those kinds of way of making money are up there with slavery in terms of how it just seems plain evil that it happens.
4meAndyou · F
@Ryannnnnn Very true.
curiosi · 61-69, F
Selfish! I am called selfish by those that am upset that I don't go along with the agenda.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@curiosi is that really how the right are the left? That is so far from the Marx lol
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@curiosi selfish? More like a testimony

One word the democrats have been using for a long time in the most distorted ways: "Compassion."

Another complete perversion of semantics: "Tolerance."

There are many other buzzwords as you rightly point out. Every single one of them is perversely recontextualized and redefined.

The semantic war is an integral part of marxism. It hoodwinks many.
TexChik · F
They are pro BLM
4meAndyou · F
@TexChik And I would say that they ally themselves with the Black Lives Matter Marxist organization, whose leader recently admitted in the hearing of Hershel Walker that she is a trained Marxist. Walker said this morning that when he heard that, he did a double take, and realized he had been steering people wrong.

Using a sentiment as an organizational name to draw supporters, and sucking money out of corporate America in order to bring about it's destruction is a commonly used ploy.
TexChik · F
@4meAndyou yes, I listened to that interview with Mr. Walker this morning.
SW-User
Hmm...seems like "Marxist" is just as overused as "racist". You're basically applying it to anyone you disagree with politically. No different than the people who label everything they disagree with "racist".
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Quite untrue. I don't agree with right wing radicals either. I don't call them Marxists.

@cherokeepatti yes they have spread out the action of revolting against anything with or without any reason..... If nothing else they write to human rights commission that their rights are getting suppressed or subdued and boxed
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@KA9ha do they whine a lot?

Its interesting how BLM claim to be proponents of Marxism when their so-called "hero" was himself a racist:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailysignal.com/2017/05/10/ugly-racism-karl-marx/amp/
words like: Progressive, liberating, cooperative, sharing, community, common, commonalities, equality, collective oppontunity, social progress, humanitarian paradigms.....

erasing disparaties between rich and pooor, taxing the rich, evening the score, what Jesus wanted...

empathy, compassion for suffering...
@greenmountaingal i believe in harmony and believe people want it
4meAndyou · F
@Elevatorpitches Greenmountaingal's abusive, horrifying mother was a Russian communist who was living here to try to overthrow our government in any way she could.

You are not going to find harmony in Marxism.
@4meAndyou oh wow

I am looking for harmony anywhere I can find it.

Not much of it anywhere on SW either
that's 4 sure

@SW-User You'll get no dispute from me, Marx was a racist, no doubt about that.
acpguy · C
@spjennifer "The National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party, grew into a mass movement and ruled Germany through totalitarian means from 1933 to 1945 under the leadership of Adolf Hitler (1889-1945)." From the History channel

Nazi, the informal and originally derogatory term for a party member, abbreviates the party's name (Nationalsozialist German pronunciation: [natsi̯oˈnaːlzotsi̯aˌlɪst]), and was coined in analogy with Sozi (pronounced [ˈzoːtsiː]), an abbreviation of Sozialdemokrat (member of the rival Social Democratic Party of Germany)

The German's knew democrats when they saw one.
Another clue is when they chime in on posts like this one to “correct” your “assumptions.” They will also fill you in on their revisionist history. Best though is when they marginalize their agenda. Marginalize, normalize then legalize. That’s how they and their MSM cohorts operate to push their agenda on the public.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Yes, the threatening, the bullying, the screaming...all very unfortunate.
revenant · F
@SW-User totally ! or they constantly refer you to the dictionary or totally obscure sources
@SW-User One was trying to pin the California wildfires on Trump. In reply I posted SoCal’s Forest and Firefighting website who’s repeated attempts to clear out dead brush that cause these fire to surge out of control have been stymied repeatedly by liberals. Even when I proved to her that the California legislation has been overwhelmingly controlled by Democrats for the past 3 decades she still would not listen. I finally told her it’s people like you WHO DO NOT LISTEN that cause these catastrophes over and over again. And she still didn’t listen, only proving my point.

Systemic racism
SW-User
@SW-User I wasn't going to ask if you were Marxist. While it may be true that not all of them are racist, a disturbing amount of them are. When people become so devoted to a movement or cause they develop a cult-like attachment to the leader and begin to parrot or espouse the leader's beliefs.
Driver2 · M
@SW-User no I am just pointing out that that is a word that Marxist use
There is racists among everyone
Driver2 · M
@SW-User Karl Marx was a lunatic that worshiped the devil . There is a book out now about how sick he was. Why do you think communists try to destroy religion so you can believe in government?

P.S. Another phrase that gives them away is: "It's for the greater good."
SW-User
if they quote Karl Marx a lot they are a marxist.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Yes, the words "the collective", and the words "sacrifice for the common good". There's a little craft beer pub in Greenfield, Massachusetts called "The People's Pub", and the owner leaves the book by Karl Marx right out on the bar.

"The People's" this or that or the other thing is also a dead giveaway.
