What has living in your echo chamber showed you about the people in it?

I block a lot, which has made something of an echo chamber for me, albeit, with thin walls. Now the problem with echo chambers is obvious, but since I have no contact with the worst of SWeeps in opposing camps, they no longer desensitize me to the worst SWeeps in my camp. So I'm more acutely aware that there are some real jerks in my camp.
I block bc i have taste & standards. Their absence has no effect on my sensitivities.
Coming here is way outside my echo chamber. I prefer it.

What is your camp?
@Burnley123 right of centre

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP I think everyone has echoe Chambers. You have to live on your owm island but visiting other places helps.
@Burnley123 proper, full-blown echo chambers, where, one way or the other, you block out anyone who disagrees is always bad in my books. But blocking those who have nothing to constructive to offer and will bring out the worst in you is the smart play as well.

There aren’t as many trolls here. They don’t start out calling names. If anything, they tend to take the high road, which can be a little annoying.
@bijouxbroussard you'd prefer douchebags name calling?
@Callmewhatyouwill No, I respect that about my side. But because of that I feel compelled to hold my tongue when I’m furious. The other side rarely does.
@bijouxbroussard I feel a time and a place. Generally of actually trying to share a difference of opinion it's best to take the high ground.

Sometimes people are just out for a reaction or too far to either side to be reasonable
