UK Chancellor sets out 'fantasy plan' to save jobs at a cost of £3Bn

UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak today set out 'plans' to try and prevent 'mass unemployment' by giving companies yet more incentive to retain their workforces rather than closing companies seeing (potentially) millions attempting to claim benefits.

This in a bid to halt the current 'furlough scheme' designed to end in June, but which will now end in October since the ending of the Coronavirus pandemic is a lot slower than hoped.

Cuts to V.A.T. Discounts in tax payable by restaurants and a stamp duty 'holiday' all feature in the Chancellor's latest statement.
Yet not one clue as to how he can 'afford' such discounts at this time.
