So now Twitter is Trumps enemy of "Free Speech"?

Hows that again? Just because they tag some of his connects for fact checking.
Of course, if he doesnt want his "facts checked" all he has to do is stop Tweeting.
Oh the unfairness of it all!

He's such a victim. 🙄
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@MeowsoliniReturns I am positive he will be telling the story to his prison budds pretty soon.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@MeowsoliniReturns Yes, indeed. He is the most tremendous victim this world has ever seen. 🙄
MeowsoliniReturns · 51-55, F
@Loretta78 Bigly!
SmartKat · 56-60, F
Donald throws a tantrum every time he gets any pushback at all.

We should be used to this by now. (And we should be ignoring him, and just going forward getting things done whether he likes it or not.)
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SmartKat And since he doesnt have the power to shut social media down OR to regulate he is just going to have to pull on his big girl panties and suck it up. Like everyone else had to when he used the same platforms to lie through his teeth since day one. In the words of Forrest Gump. $h*t Happens.
JeanAnna · F
@SmartKat He's such a big baby, and a big bully. How dare anyone disagree with him.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
Yes, we can surely see why he is so mad! I mean.. .Twitter pointing people to actual facts as opposed to his utter lies and dogma! Can't have his fan base exposed to facts!
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Adaydreambeliever Not😷 when he has already given them the straight covfefe.
bookerdana · M
He doesn't understand the Constitution ,nor the First Amendment which was put in the Constitution to prohibit Government interference into a citizens right..he's lucky Twitter evenlets him on😂
SW-User
That, or stop tweeting lies
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SW-User Like that could happen.. The guy has spent his whole life rewriting his own story with him as the hero.
@whowasthatmaskedman Trump, the no-mask masked man, his behavior is getting worse, give him enough rope and he will hang himself, never underestimate a man who overestimates himself and he is a Genius at doing that.
JeanAnna · F
@SW-User That'll never happen, everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie.
JeanAnna · F
They should block him. They would anyone else who lies all the time.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Loretta78 They wont. This controversy is good for their business. But they wont back down either for the same reason. They know he cant touch them.
JeanAnna · F
@Loretta78 They should but they won't. And he'll shut up about it in a few days, it's just another gripe to deflect from the 100,000 lives that are lost due to the pandemic.
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@whowasthatmaskedman I know. 😔
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
Actually there is a difference. Journalists are libel for defamation and slander. Platforms that don't practice journalism are not. Social media companies have not been considered journalists because they don't create, edit, curate, censor or rebut content. The moment they do they become journalists subject to applicable law.
@HoraceGreenley I’ve tried explaining this for 5 years..

I give up.. orange man stoopid.. we is smarter then orange man. 🤷‍♂️
HoraceGreenley · 56-60, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I know how you feel
I’m more concerned about the assholes trying to silence ppl.. full stop end of story..
If trump talks so much shit. Then why stop him? Scared he’s gunna win in a land slide?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Adaydreambeliever Yes... You see where you went wrong there. 😉
SW-User
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout legally, these social media sites have two choices: stay out of politics altogether and allow free speech or be regulated as publishers. They can't have it both ways. If they're going to take on the role as a fact checking agency, and have public trust, the government is going to regulate them, especially Democrats.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
@SW-User Ahem... but we see Trump threatening to regulate them.. so I was puzzled as to why you felt it necessary to cite Dems. Do my spider senses detect that you are a Trump supporter and anti dem by any chance
Piper · 61-69, F
I little doubt, that Trump desires to be a "dictator".
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Piper I am sure he believes he is. The rich mans son who never grew up.
With is with him? He is just so...ugh 🤦🏻‍♀️.
SW-User
Yeah, but they can't just single out Trump. If they're going to do it, do it to everyone.
SmartKat · 56-60, F
@whowasthatmaskedman Businesses are pretty much allowed to do whatever they want. We have very low expectations of business.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@SmartKat And thats what happens when government is not a balancing force between Capital and the people.
@SW-User

...they can't just single out the president of the united states? They can't single out someone for fact checking who has enormous influence and a huge following?

lol yeah dude, they can and it makes sense to do so.
